Speaking of demos, think that there'll be one announced this month for USUM? Or perhaps GF learned their lesson after what happened with OrAs and SM's.

Doubtful that they learned, but I don't think there will be a Demo. I think they would have already announced it by now if there was going to be one.

I really don't see a need for one since most mechanics are going to probably be the same.

Definitely. One trailer would be great, just hopefully it has enough content to keep us discussing and speculating for a while.

With the expansion of the Alolan Pokèdex with some Johto Pokèmon I'm expecting some alolan forms of said Pokémon.
Also... I don't know if this has even been mentioned, but wat about the buddy feature? I mean... being able to walk with your Pokèmon again like for example in HG/SS would be a nice addition.

I think from what we've seen, the "buddy" thing seems to only work with certain NPC overworld Pokemon, such as the Rockruff we saw the protagonist interacting with.

Kanto post game perhaps? Gah, I got nothing. :P I never played the original Sun/Moon before, but I really think they should tease a kick ass post game, espeically since I heard Sun/Moon didn't really have one.

Remember that the debut main pair of a generation never has an impressive post-game to begin with.

I'm expecting one or two trailers, maybe a trailer this week or next week (around the middle of the month, like it always has been), that one would reveal more of Corocoro's news dump and if there's another trailer, it would be at the end of the month.

Genuine question I'm asking with no ill intent whatsoever: what is your beef with these games? They aren't even out yet for another month and yet your posts are filled with constant negativity towards them as if they're the worst games produced.

I get skepticism. I totally understand! But I think what people fail to take into consideration is that we already know like 80% of what's going on in Alola already and some people are having their expectations like they want this to be a complete overhaul. As time goes by, I'm seeing more and more evidence that this is less of a sequel like B2W2 and more of a third game like Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum. These are all games that didn't differ heavily (I suppose you can make an argument that Crystal's introduction of a female player protagonist was signfiicant, but the core story of the game and most everything else was the same to my knowledge) from their original games, there's no reason for Game Freak to change their formula this time around.

tl;dr USUM is basically SM with a few new shiny bells and whistles into it. As I've mentioned before in a different post, if those features (Mantine Surf, Alola Photo Club, maybe some other things they haven't revealed yet) don't appeal to you to go through Alola again, don't get them. Nobody's forcing you to make a purchase, after all.

The entire appeal of third games/re-treads in the first place is because of the shiny new features and tweaks that Game Freak introduces into them. Battle Frontier and Distortion World in Platinum version, Battle Frontier in Emerald version and Move Tutors and a slightly different storyline, so on and so forth.

As of currently, this is basically the month before showtime, so I'm perhaps expecting, at most, two more trailers to show off the rest of USUM, and I'm thinking maybe they'll be at the middle of this month or so, with one more at the beginning of November or so just to keep people hyped right before release.

One thing that I do want them to show, even if it might not have new information, would be an animated trailer like the one that they did for Black 2 and White 2. I thought it was very cool and it might generate interest in the games as well.

Well the reason that Im not hyped for these games is because it seems to be a typical third version. You said it your self, there probably won't be any new major additions to these games (Hence we barely get any news) so I think its logical to say that.
I think that if there was a major addition to these games, something like battle frontier, then they would have revealed it by now, but perhaps I'm wrong ( I hope to be).
It's not that I'm having a negetive attitude. I'm just expressing my thoughts over the barely new infromation we've gotten, that's all.
Whever I purchase these games or not is my own concern.

I always think that companies don't leak a lot when there are more things to hype about.
I guess I am more of a positive kind of person and always hype for just very simple things-- Just another form of Lycanroc was enough to warrant me purchasing UltraMoon.
Really can't wait for more news, or they're just keeping everything hush-hush because all the surprises and shocks would've been very closely knitted to the new storyline and plot so no spoilers!

I am personally hoping the story gets more changes then it does in a typical third game, but the screenshots we've seen so far don't encourage this too much. I was really hoping for something like BW2, and I do hope they do something like that at some point, because it was quite refreshing.

But anyway, I would like to get a few more screenshots and perhaps the reveal of a new character. As some have mentioned, an animated trailer or two would be fantastic, and it would be nice if BOTH protags got featured, instead of only the guy. Maybe they could make two, one staring the boy and the other featuring the girl.

Just my 2 cents, of course. I can see why it could be a disappointment to get a "third" game so quickly after SM, especially if you were hoping for a sequel/drastically different retelling (though we don't have all the details, so the latter is still a slim possibility). I'm a bit saddened by this myself, but I'm opting to be hopeful and waiting to see what happens next. I will be getting the game either way, just because playing along with my bf is so much fun, and Dusk Ruffy.

Despite the fact that I'm not going to buy this game upon release, if the game reveals to have significant post game features and changes to the main game that are interesting, I might buy it in a few months with the hope that the price will drop.

However even though I'm going to put off playing USM and may even skip it, I really do not think it's going to be a bad game. At worst it will just be a re-skin of Su/Mo with a few minor extra features, and considering (IMO) Su/Mo was a good Pokemon game, it's hard to believe the USM could be worse than Su/Mo.
I just personally feel satisfied with my Su/Mo experience and I'm not so sure I need to do it all over again.

To address whether or not we get any more game spoilers this month, I'm honestly hoping that Game Freak stays tight lipped about this game until its release because it will make the game all the more exciting when people get to play it and discover for themselves what might have been added to the game without us knowing. If you think about it we've already been spoiled a huge amount of the game already because it has been revealed that the USM is a third version which means we've already been revealed a ton about the game just by playing Su/Mo. The lack of spoilers is probably because they're trying to hide the few surprises left in the game for the purpose of really impressing the audience. Plus since it doesn't seem like there will be any demo it will also prevent their game from being cracked and hugely spoiled. Most games never get as many spoilers as Pokemon does and we already know a lot about the game already, so I'm content with what we know about the game currently. Now it's just a practice in patience.

I can see where you're coming from with this, considering US/UM are recycling the same protagonists (much like Emerald and Platinum did) as opposed to B2/W2 using completely new protagonists. But I think we're still going to have some notable differences so that it doesn't feel exactly like S/M.
