  • Cohabiting with a woman might be against the law in Japan like it still is in several US states.

I'd probably prefer sweet liquor myself, but I've only had a couple pale ales, some sake, and a few shots of vodka.

    Oh really?
Pretty sure Kohei is a male.

    I dunno I can't see your face.

Is it nasty stuff? I'm pretty sure you're suppose to mix it with stuff.
Definitely not Japan. They be racists there against anyone who isn't Japanese.

America is still my best bet, as I am an American citizen.
    Okay sir.

Well it was cheaper and quicker and whatnot. A lot of technology stuff I'll be able to teach myself or learn on the job.
    It'll be an associates degree.

The quiz was alright, the lesson was alright, the review was easy.

It's anything not covered by sir or madam. It also literally means the animal platypus.
    Sorry, I've been real busy and I noticed your account got banned yet again! ;w;
Wow, you grew up in Edmonton? That's pretty cool, what school did you go? :O
I heard about Full Moon wo Sagashite before, but I never watched/read it. ^^
The avatar's from Mawaru Penguindrum. It's the ventilation fan of the "Child Broiler", a symbolic space where forgotten children go to become invisible. It's actually a gif, so make sure to check out any posts you see of mine!
I've got two due by Friday in one class, an algebra quiz Friday, 2 take-home algebra quizzes due next Friday, a ton of algebra homework due next Friday, and an algebra exam next Friday.
I desire no admiration whatsoever. I just don't see the connection between being a long-time member and being condescending, unfriendly, exclusionary, or whatever else is being alleged.
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that the mere absence of MFCs has turned everyone against an institution that we once all thought a central part of the PC experience, as people are prone to associating the past with obsolescence. It would be "going backward" to re-institute such a thing, and no one wants to go backward, hm? I don't begrudge people thinking that they serve no purpose, I suppose not everyone can personally remember how useful they were for making new friends and socializing. Oh well, you tried.
Oh, and there are an abundance of other places to chat that are forum threads, Don't Let the Mods Say 0 and The Count to Infinity among those thread that aren't DCCs but are still chat threads.
They sort of do. Sort of. And those with red and green names do post pretty often outside of the staff forums, but again, their lives sometimes get in the way. Also, Steve (Rukario) is in IRC everyday essentially. He also has a few other sites he hosts and administrates.
I do, but I don't see any benefit to bringing back Member Fanclubs to fill a need that is already filled by VMs, and many former users of member fanclubs acknowledged that VMs were the biggest reason they didn't frequent there anymore.

I'm not talking about staff forum posts. I'm talking about say Video Games, Culture & Media, Pokemon General, Black & White, etc. Sure, some staff members don't surface often, but their activity fluctuates due to life.
The H-Staff post more than you think. And what would you know about how often they post, considering I haven't seen you here terribly often? They just might only post in sections you rarely check.
Because I'm going to write about topics that are important to me, and that is more or less what a job should be: doing what you believe in.

    Ever try sleeping pills?
That sounds like more your mentality where you feel alienated because very few names you recognize are still around. Enter with a positive attitude like "Hey, some of these people might be pretty cool!" instead of a negative one, and it'll make a world of difference in how you view the places and the people who post in them. Also, quite a bit of the member base in those areas is over 18, and many of these people aren't hardcore anime fans, they just like Pokemon or still hang around because they like the community.

I feel maybe you should go check out the J-E Discussions thread in Japanese Entertainment. Since you seem to be pretty into various anime, that's the best place to discuss anime.

I'm just providing the rationale I see behind the staff's decision, which they had, as said in your thread, unanimously decided to remove the board because it was dead, probably due in no small part to VMs and the various DCCs that have sprung up across the forum.
