I've never watched any of the Runefest shows because they were usually held to talk about future updates for the new game (EOC one) and I wasn't interested in seeing Jagex ruin the game any further, lol.

Ha, I wish I had been playing during 2001 - 2004, but I started in 2006, I believe. Most of my real-life friends stopped playing by like 2008, though, so I was in the same situation as you, which is why I started clanning and I met a tonnnnnnnn of great people. But you should!!!! and of course I definitely would! :p I think there will be a membership fee to play, though, as the 500K vote mark thing takes away only the additional membership fee that would be charged. I'm sure they will waiver the additional fee, but there will be the normal one you'd have to pay to be able to access both the EOC (crappy) rs and the old school rs :\

I love strategy games, although I must say I'm not necessarily the best at them. I have to admit I'm not very good at games at all looool.. haven't had the best luck with gaming as of yet, hahaha. No, but really, my favorite strategy game would have to be Pikmin. Can't wait till that's out later this year (although I don't even have a Wii U). There are so many other good strategy games out there, though.

Yup, after the many countless and pointless updates Jagex made, they pretty much ruined the game completely. And that whole Evolution of Combat thing was just the nail to the coffin, tbh. Luckily, though, they've realized their mistakes and have re-released 2007 versions of the old RS for older and newer fans alike to play to on. I'm actually playing on them right now and it's so nostalgic. ;] The only part I like about RS is the clanning aspect because everything else bores me, so what's left of the clanning world is hoping to "revive" it back to what it actually was in 2007 (really active). EOC (Evolution of Combat) + all the other crappy updates pretty much killed everything.

Yeah, I finally bought it after a lot of people recommended it to me. The intro was really great, probably the best out of any game I've ever played. Idk why, but I love FPS shooters. :p I might not be that great at them, but they're definitely one of my favorite types of games to play.

I'm sorry to hear you can't play because of your tendinitis. :( Do your hands ever cramp up while you're typing? I feel as though I'm going to get Carpal tunnel's because I'm typing all day, and sometimes I do feel my hands hurt/cramp up after a while of typing/being in the same position. :\

I made it sound in my previous reply like I was super popular and that all these social media sites run my life, lol. That's not necessarily the truth, though. :p I really just only talk to a handful of people each day, hahaha.
