Haha it's seriously epic. You say the things I wouldn't dare. I tried to make a post in that same thread and I tried to make it as aggressive as I could so people would just UNDERSTAND but it still wasn't as awesome as that lol

It can be both; there are several definitions beyond the standard OED one. I opted for that definition in particular because it is the way that the character see a person: in a more spiritual way of who they are rather than their gender/ sex / race/ age/ etc . I've said 'personality' because it encompasses more than just the first two in that list. Hope that I've made sense.
