  • You don't know that until you go!

Also, it's better to have harsh criticism on the resume now so it's better later and you're not stuck wondering why people won't call you in for interviews with a subpar resume.
I'm pretty sure the classes are free, but you still have to sign up for them because they fill up fast.
    woops

Anyways. Guess what a coworkers gave me? :3 I can't wait to tell you so I'll just go for it; a baggie full of her kids poemon games that they said we can borrow. :D Including Emerald! :D
You have more or less hit the nail on the head, it's a difficult job but it's worth it in the long run.
That might be a better way of explaining it.

You seem quite knowledgeable on education and teaching practices. Are you studying education/working in a school/teaching?
History is always written with a positive slant by those who live in the subject country, the same way history is written by the victor.

I think what I'd really like to see is an improvement on interest in learning first and foremost. The new curriculum will aid that but we need to have more of a focus on contemporary issues that not only directly affect students but also interest them.
I mean the ability to perform well academically as well as just put wha you know into practice. Both are very important... you may be great at doing what you learn but every effort should be made to learn more and develop your knowledge so you have more skills you can use.

Here our high school subject options are actually really, really diverse. I do think our focus on history in the national model is ridiculous (Society and Environment/Social Studies has almost entirely been replaced with History. For the last two years of schooling it is pretty good though as we cover German History from before the first world war until not long after the second, US history (up until the end of the Vietnam war), Russian History and Australian History. I only did the first two though because I left school early for uni and as such missed year 12.
