To reply to your text (which I didn't notice until, like, 1 AM because I'm a massive derp who keeps forgetting that I turned off sound and vibration on my cell): it's going pretty well. I've settled in, my classes start this evening, and I'm currently applying for all kinds of jobs to add a little cash to the kitty. It's finally cooling down, so I'm not dying. And! I love exploring this city. I really do. There's all kinds of awesome things to do, so it's not like Pittsburgh where I'm stuck in one place and where it takes only a day to take in everything that's worth seeing.

Only downside, really, is that I'm terrified I'm going to run low on cash, so I really need to find a job within the next two weeks.

Anyway.

It's awesome that you're feeling better, by the by. ♥ Sometimes, yeah, just taking off is enough to get you back on your feet.

At this moment, I would like to take the time to tell you that I'm eating the first thing I've eaten all day, and it's Doritos. I get the feeling I'm doing this nutrition thing horribly wrong. (Yay, scruvy!)

TRUE STORY: The first story I wrote on a computer was done on MS Paint. If I remember correctly, it was about this family who was marooned on this deserted island, and I don't remember the rest, but I think whales were involved.

I was eight at the time and didn't understand Microsoft Works, so.


Yeeeeah, screw that. I managed to get my copy of Word 2003 that I've had since two laptops ago to work on this one. Which I guess makes me awesome.


I feel like it's appropriate to link you to this at this point, and I don't know why.

That's right. I don't even think of "IN THE NAME OF THE MOON." Because apparently, my mind wants to jump right to the fandom I was never in as opposed to one of my main fandoms. :| Way to go, brain. Way to go.

Also: My new laptop's keyboard has this habit of not producing a letter occasionally despite the fact that I struck the key for it. For example, it seems to like assuming that I'm saying "te," and no fewer than six words in this paragraph had to be retyped because they were missing letters. :| THANKS, NEW TECHNOLOGY.

I almost miss Eureka, but at least this one doesn't die on me when I try to run something big.

Also! I have actually seen that comic before. XD It's strange, but you're actually the second person who showed me, and I had to tell the first one that, yes, I'm that obsessed to go trawling through dA for fanart now and then.

...And I'm frequently disappointed, but I still do it. I don't know why! Seriously, I have not found anything that wasn't unrelated, badfic, "art," or self-insert shenanigans in literally years. :|

In any case, that is basically my headcanon for what Bill and Lanette's relationship with each other is like.

Bill: "(insert some kind of ridiculous idea here)"
Lanette: "Why don't you just (insert a completely sane and logical idea here)?"
(Insert significant pause here.)
Bill: "...But then what would we do with the elephants?"


I GUESS SO.

Which means that putting these two in the same room and getting them drunk (in that order) would be hilarious.

Also, I feel like she's a bit on the slow side. But I honestly don't know what kinds of disabilities she has, so I'm not sure if I can say that. But yeah, I feel like she genuinely doesn't have much in the way of comprehension skills (reading, actually understanding social norms, et cetera).

I have a question about Fan Fic; is it acceptable that I write one with an already existing character from a game as the protagonist? Or will it be considered plagiarising?

I refuse to believe that the events depicted in that picture didn't actually happen at some point in time.

Also, I think I would actually pay to see a sequel to that picture. Specifically, a sequel depicting the "Bingo Nite" advertised on the back wall there. That just sounds like something I need to see.

As for Dethklok cats, well, there was a sequence in one episode wherein Toki was a cat. Well, mostly a cat, anyway.

And then the left button when I meant to hit the down arrow. It has seriously screwed up my way of reading stuff.

It is also my headcanon that this is true in general. He probably writes a la badfic, complete with an utter lack of understanding for comma rules. Or capitalization. Or creating sentences that don't wander off into tangents, never to return.

He has probably driven at least one copy-editor insane for this reason.

EXACTLY. And I'm pretty sure I've told her already (in that same thread, no less) that just because you say you aren't doesn't mean you're magically not sexist.

No, seriously, I'd like to read that study, just for the lulz. Seriously, I'm not even a feminism activist, and her treatment of women seriously pisses me off. I'm tempted to just call her a troll and ignore her, but she's constantly on SPPf.


She's a lot like a denser version of matt, really. She'll look like she's about to take the advice of others, but about a week from now, she'll go and ask someone random whether or not she's correct, if she doesn't just go and make a thread dedicated to it. I remember her damsel in distress thread was really just a response to something I had said. Or something else. But you get the idea.


And then argues that it's totally not offensive because it portrays a deep, developed character.


While I just hope she sods off. Honestly, I'd rather have users who constantly and blatantly make threads to get someone to shoot down the opinions of their reviewers than this. At least with the shoddily done crossover fic and thinly-veiled potshot, I didn't feel like part of my identity was being offended.
