This was fun since a lot of times i dont evolve them anyway. I just finished red version with abra and squirtle. Psychic pokemon rule the world in that game. If i had more elixir I could have done with just abra. I also caught Mew but never used it.

UPDATE: I evolved sandshrew as well after defeating Lt. Surge. Just beat Giovanni singlehandedly with lvl 32 Rattata. So All my rattata are lvl 33. I evolved one of them to Raticate already. Beedrill is kickin butt with brick break and twin needle. Butterfree has sleep powder and dream eater so...
