It does, the problem is, you can only use a keymapper if the buttons are visible, which goes against the whole point of using a controller in the first place. Do you have any other idea why this would work with other RMXP games but not Island?

One more question, though, the Odin has a built-in controller with a D-Pad. In Reborn the controller D-pad moves the character, but I can't find any way to get it to do so in Island. Do you have any idea how I could do that?

Well, you should have a Pokemon Ruby ROM and the Light Platinum IPS (if you don't, you have deeper problems!). In Windows (or whatever), copy the exact name of the ROM (minus the .gba) and change the name of the LP IPS to exactly that (leaving the .ips). Then, using your emulator, open the Ruby ROM.

Try the other method then, with a new ROM and a renamed .ips . Also make sure you're downloading the 1.0 version of Ruby...

Which method are you trying? In general, on a PC, the best emulator is VisualBoyAdvance, or VBA. I'm not really sure about other systems...
