I was told that it does have a P/S split, however I encountered a Wynaut, used Pursuit (supposed to be a physical move) and got hit by mirror coat. So I assume that it works on the old gen 3 mechanics whereby all dark moves are special.
I was wondering if one of our stalwart hack creators could make a game in a kind of nuzlocke mode. Perhaps you could have no access to a pokecentre. Each town instead has a free elixer dispenser so you can top up your PP, a pokemart for medicines and a poke graveyard to drop of the deceased. All...
Its probably because the battle mechanics are based on gen 3, so for example all water moves are special. I had this problem with gyarados in other hacks, great pokemon, but only where there is a physical/special split
Just wondering if anyone has implemented a points scoring system in a pokemon hack. Just an idea to make things interesting. You could score points for beating trainers, speedy event completion, bonuses foe OHKO's and so forth. Penalties for pokemon fainting, whiting out etc. Players could them...
When you've played many hacks (and I have), you look forward to something a bit different. Thats why I've cooked up these ideas for nuzlocke mode, bewitched pokemon and the like. As for creating a new game I wouldn't know where to begin, so if you want to use my ideas in the future, feel free...
New Concept
After having played some games in nuzlocke mode I was thinking what it would be like to play a game in partial nuzlocke mode. That is when a pokemon faints, rather than it being considered dead, it must be dropped off at the poke centre for a period of recuperation before it can...
My idea for side/sub plot would go something like this...
You enter an area and find that in addition to the normal pokemon there are some that are in a 'bewitched' form. These bewitched pokemon are somewhat stronger than normal. A little further in you come across the dark warlock Sasser...
Have you completed the storyline? I hope there will be lots of side quests/sub plots. I love all that sort of thing. I have come up with an interesting idea for a side plot if you'd care to hear it?
This looks very promising. Can't wait to have a crack at this. I was thinking that you could incorporate a partial nuzlocke to make things more challenging, whereby a pokemon on fainting cannot be immediately revived but needs to spend some time in "recuperation' before being used again.
Just went to the trainer house in Viridion and had to battle myself and my own team. What a brilliant touch. Needless to say it was the most difficult battle of the game! Thank goodness I was told of the incoming pokemon so I could switch in the appropriate counter. If you wanted to make things...
It's a lot of fun playing with the old gen 3 pokemon. I'd forgotten, though, how poor the movesets are, spoilt as we are by the rich levelling up move sets from gen 5 and 6. My politoad is now at level 40 and it still doesn't know how to pick it's nose or scratch it's backside!
I've levelled up my piloswine all the way up to lv 37 wondering if it was ever going to evolve into mamoswine, so I asked the evolution guru at Cianwood and she tells me its at the final stage of evolution already! I this right? If so I'm going to cry.
