Even though we're not that economically influential nowadays (unless you count them big corporations like IKEA and H&M), I guess we could still brag about having the smallest salary difference between the sexes, and the least religious population there is.
I think there are more active Islamic people here than active Christians actually.

...Yet ironically 70% of all swedes are officially Christian, because of the dumb rules from the 1500s pretty much assuming everyone praises the lord from birth, and few care enough to resign from the church.
...Except for the royal family. Swedish law states, and is still very much in power, that if the crown prince or princess aren't Lutheran Christians, they are officially denied the throne. As a matter of fact our latest princess who popped out a couple of months ago was baptised today. Scary times.

Hnnnnnnnnnaaaactually, the fact that we actually have a lot of resources (lumber and iron mostly) and a relatively small population was the reason we managed to become one of the most powerful countries in Europe during the 1600s.

We are still amongst the world's biggest when it comes to the paper industry, wood of all kinds and iron.
