If you're talking about the controls, FIFA's are pretty easy. I just played FIFA 99 the other day, and aside from the more advanced stuff, the controls are the exact same as the current games. As for NHL, the majority of the stuff is done with the analogs + shoulder buttons now, whereas it used to be the face buttons before 2006/2007. It'll definitely take some getting used to if you haven't played for a while.
