I just sent you my PM. I hope you got it! Everything on the site seems to be working fine right now, but just in case, why don't you just make a new account on SPPF for PM-ing purposes?
Owning a house is expensive. My parents have put off buying a new car for a few years now because things in the house keep breaking and are expensive fixes.

That stupid "Notification Bar" clock positioning really makes no sense on the touch screens. Though in my limited experience with the Fords that have them, there is an option to just have the clock dominate the display when the screen is idle. GM probably has that option somewhere. A standalone clock would cut out having to fiddle with that, though.

Leather's easy to clean, expensive to maintain, and not fun in extreme weather. Most of those other features are becoming standard, though. New SUVs are nice and expensive cars that the dealers and manufacturers make a high margin on.

That's quite a bit of brand loyalty there, especially across 6 vehicles over 23 years. Though Fords are pretty common in my family because a grandparent or great grandparent used to work at the now shut down and soon to be demolished Saint Paul Ford Plant, so family members got a discount through him, so I'm not really in a position to comment.

Though on a personal level, I bought my Ford because, of the dealers in my town, it was either Ford or Dodge, and since I can't bring myself to trust a company that as recently as 2004 thought that sticking the battery near the wheel-well was an acceptable design idea, Ford was the only logical choice.
They probably felt their finances couldn't the extra $10,000 or so (just guessing on the amount; could be more, could be less) they'd end up paying over the life of the loan for either the Enclave or the Acadia. Or they wanted to use that money toward something else.

The analog clocks are classy looking, but their practicality is debatable. They're practical for people used to analog clocks in the car dash, but they're a problem for people used to digital clocks in the dash.

They could probably have gotten the top of the line Chevy trim for the same price as the base for either the Enclave or the Acadia, though. For example, I have a top of the line trim in my 2011 Ford Fusion, and that means heated leather seats, the full Sync system for 2011 (minus the picky MyTouch interface), 2nd best stock audio system available for the Fusion (another one from the same year I was looking at had a much better stock system as well as a sunroof), fog lights, more compartments than I know what to do with, rear and front cabin lights, separate passenger and driver side climate controls, and decorative interior lighting, among other features I don't feel like listing. And it was still cheaper than a similarly spec'd Lincoln MKZ or Mercury Milan would've run me (neither of which I like the grills for, anyway; they feel too dated in styling).
I've been working on my fic projects too, though at a slower pace due to real life stuff. I haven't been able to do many things online, either. :P But I'll be glad to read a first draft for the new story, whenever you get one ready.
The 3 versions are all the same externally, though? I know it's not directed at me, but externally, sibling cars across "different" makes are all pretty much the same for the same model years.

Or does the GMC/Buick badge make it distinct enough on its own from where you stand even if they physically are exactly the same as the Chevy since they're all GM cars?
How did you survive this show?

I had a hard time watching the latter 15 minutes of the first episode.
