I've just posted my Hoenn one-shot. It's a bit long, but on the bright side, it lifts a big weight off my chest. :P

My new fic is about Avatar: The Last Airbender. I've been working on the first chapter for a very long time now, but I think I've finally gotten it to a point where I can call it a "rough final draft". (I have nine other chapters written, though, so I'm not completely devoid of material.) All I have to do now is tweak up the description and fix some dialogue. I'm starting to consider posting it on SPPF, because the Non-Pokemon section is fairly inactive and I want to let people know that I'm at least doing something when I'm not writing Roots. The only problem is, I'm still in the nervous-perfectionist phase with the story, because I haven't written any major non-Roots, non-Pokemon fic in a long time. :P

I also have to get around to finishing editing my one-shot, because unfortunately, my work on that fic and school has been putting it on hold.

Speaking of that other idea I sent you a while back, I ended up shelving it because I had too many other stories on my mind and my motivation for that one wasn't strong enough to make me want to work on it more. But I still like the idea, and will probably go back to it once I've finished Roots and my new fic.

Hey! Sorry it's been so long. I've been really, really busy during the past school semester, and the new one's just kicking in, so there's a lot to get used to. I'm not kidding about how busy I've been -- I haven't written a chapter for Roots since the last one I posted xP I've actually decided to revise Roots from the beginning and repost it, but it won't be as big of an overhaul as it sounds; I just want to fine-tune my portrayal of the world and add in some things I didn't get to write about the first time. The storyline and characters will stay the same. I'm motivated to do this revision because during the last ten/fifteen chapters, the work felt really mechanical, and when I look back at them, the writing seems more like a rush to get towards the end than to develop the setting and characters.

The good news is, I've been using this long intermission to tweak the earlier chapters and jot down new ideas, so now I'm enthusiastic about the story again. Another piece of good news is that I have a lot of completed work to base my revisions on, so "Roots 2" will probably take less time to complete than Roots 1. The bad news is... it will still probably be a while. :P I've also been working on another fic, but it's for a different fandom, so it probably won't be posted on here or SPPF. But it'll still take up some time, so Roots won't be the only thing at the forefront of my attention.

That's pretty much all that's been going on. I also wrote a one-shot for a Hoenn-themed contest on SPPF (that won third place :3) so when I revise that, I'll post it. So you'll have something to read from me eventually. :P

and I see. I think it's worth getting, even I wasn't a huge fan of the region but I ended up loving it. It's your choice though ~ and cool, well I haven't been on xy much but i'll let you know ^_^
