On Lucario you'll want to switch out Earthquake for Crunch. This allows you to hit Ghost types for super effective damage. A super effective Earthquake (200 BP) is weaker than a neutral Close Combat (240 BP) due to Adaptability and has redundant coverage.
We need EV's, Nature, Ability, Item's for six different Pokemon. This is Team Help, not Team Build afterall.
It's also advisable to play-test with the team before you have a rate, since what may look good on paper, sucks when put into practice.

This was a battle I had very recently. It could have gone either way due to the amount of prediction on each side but in the end I prevailed (as the poster of a battle normally does). The ending is a bit anti-climatic considering the middle game...
The three big threats for me would be Mega-Kangaskhan, Mega-Lucario and Talonflame.
Mega Kangaskhan: Being able to hit with the power of a Choice Band, whilst still being able to switch moves, is scary, but combined with the Swords Dance Sucker Punch, teams have to start running a specific...
I'm getting X simply because my brother is getting Y. If not for that, I would probably get Y.
Charizard Y in my opinion, is so much better. Aside the obvious Drought/Tough Claws argument, Charizard Y is a wrecking ball in the sun right off the bat with high Special Attack and Fire Blast, with...
Just defeated Marlon, but I'm doing a massive revamp as I'm unhappy with certain members.
My team is going to be:
I'm aware I've got Black 2 and White 2 exclusives in that, I intend to breed an Adamant Guts Heracross on original White and trade it over.
My Name: Zero
I've always done that, personally I find it cool and do not care what other people think.
Rival Name: Shadow
Hugh looks a little dark so I figured Shadow? It makes sense to me *shrugs*
I don't nickname my Pokemon.
I'm not entirely sure this is the right section, but in any case I'll answer your question.
A good core of Pokemon, such as the Grass/Fire/Water core works well. Another example is the Dark/Fighting/Psychic core.
Good Pokemon in game usually involve being fast and having good attack stats...
Lampent@Eviolite
Nature: Modest
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 212 HP/252 Special Attack/44 Speed
-Fire Blast
-Substitute
-Shadow Ball
-Pain Split
Magmar can only hope to hurt Lampent with Hidden Power Grass and is completely walled if it uses Will-o-Wisp. Meanwhile, Lampent can break any Substitute...
This team was designed to ladder as best as possible, without using weather, as I simply despise Ninetails and Politoed. In my opinion, anyone who uses Politoed or Ninetails purely for their ability knows next to nothing about constructing a team that isn't dependant on one Pokemon to succeed...
