  • You can find a cheap Asti at Tesco for like a tenner. One I had for a tenner was actually one of the best I've tasted, so fruity!
I know! Around here, it's like... of you can function normally... you aren't considered disabled at all. People can look at you and think "Oh, you're lying" because you don't act the same way as most do with a disability. I get it all the time. I mean, most days... I CAN function normally. I can go about my life not even knowing I'm disabled and such. However, if I have one of my 'episodes' people will often see me as bratty or misbehaved. People don't seem to care what's going through my mind or what I have to deal with on my own. :c
Yesss, Asti the wine. It's so good. I sometimes have Sourz shots when the shots-girl comes around the bars, can't help myself!
    Exactly. The US sucks with disabilities. We get mistreated all of the time. In fact, I went to a hospital for chest pain a long time ago. The nurse was ignorant. Because I was terrified of needles and IVs, she wanted to have TWO SECURITY GUARDS hold me down to get the IV in. That's not how you deal with someone who's screaming bloody murder and melting down in fear. My mom, my visiting aunt and I ended up having to walk out by refusing treatment because of it. This nurse also had the nerve to say that I couldn't be very autistic because I was able to speak. Like, does she not know that autism is a spectrum and that not every person with it is the same? -_____-;
I like me a double Disaronno and coke or a bottle of Budweiser/Corona! I also like a fine bottle of Asti. What's your choice?
I don't really know. I mean, I just know they treat us better than they do in the US. It's not so much attitude-wise. Like, for example, if I was to go to the hospital for some reason or whatever... they wouldn't overlook it. I always just figured the UK takes disability more seriously than how the US does. (I didn't want to broadcast all this in a thread because it sometimes upsets people and what not)
Oh yeah there's plenty of people in North Wales but I don't think there's as many as there is in the south. I'm pretty much spending my day on my laptop and occasionally on my 3DS! And I have an innie~
Oooh very nice, hope you get the job!
Things are pretty good down here in South Wales, except the turn in weather. It's gone all grey outside after a few nice days of sun. :(
I wouldn't mind going to a few places in the US like Seattle and New York.
You been up to much today?
I'm not too sure what else is on my bucket list, I do like the thought of some sort of diving like cliff-diving and sky-diving! What's on your bucket list?
Photogenic qualities and political correctness. Like avoiding places like United Arab Emirates 'cause their principles of treating women terribly and unequally!
Northern Norway for it's Aurora Borealis, such a bucket-list experience it would be.
And yeah me too, I'm knackered! Catch ya later, alligator~
It's between Venice and Dominican Republic, such photogenic places! You should start putting money away for a good holiday.
The next place I wanna go to is Canada or Norway!
I'd love to go sky-diving after work though :(
In total I've been to Dominican Republic, Crete, Greece, Islands off of Spain like Gran Canaria, Mallorca (I think) and Venice. You been to any countries?
And nice to meet you Nicole ;)
Home life is pretty much: Come home from work, dress down, lie on my bed with my laptop, 3DS and maybe Netflix on and I will chill until like 11pm, then sleep ahaha. Life is boring.
And things definitely changed for the better.
I went to Venice with friends for a nice vacation but the pizza and gelato was a big big bonus!
