I have had a little bit of free time finally. I was able to catch up on Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, and its such a touching story. I get the feels even though it isn't that sad, but its more like the main character's situation is sad, and the things that happen to them (no spoilers). It deals with child slavery, themes of ignorance, innocence, etc.
Its about a bunch of child laborers (some slaves, some just exploited) that are forced to work for a private security company years in the future. They revolt after being used by the company to be left for dead in a battle, and form their own company. Their mission is to protect Kudelia, who is the face of a Martian revolution (Mars is fighting for independence), and they must deliver her to earth safely so she can negotiate. There is a ton of good action and sweet scenes, and its sort of tragic and political, and great all around. The only negative so far is that it is a bit slow, but its not terrible.
I also watched the first 7 minutes of Tokyo Ghoul after reading over half the manga (like 3 chapters a morning on the way to school and while eating breakfast- my only "free time"). Sometimes at school too during lunch break if I'm not doing more work. Anyways, the story is pretty good, but I didnt realize the anime would be so.... beautiful! Its so artsy its ridiculous; the art is the best I have ever seen so far! The colors are so vibrant and stuff. Maybe I'm judging too early haha.
How have you been?
I also got into a debate with a friend and it ended with me being called a "dickhead," or "know-it-all," which I do not really understand. The debate became more philosophical/theoretical, and I only defended my principles and revealed the holes in his. I could understand if this was more of a "utilitarian" debate with facts and such because I could "know all" of the facts, but even then its nothing but an ad-hominem attack haha. Maybe it makes sense because I "know it all" about my principles/philosophy, but that would only make sense. Im probably overanalyzing this lol (everyone I know says that about me). I tend to overthink things, which I think is more good than bad tbh- except on tests.
