Although DP's intro to wifi battling, as well as the balance in DP OU being amazing, I find BW to be better. The improvement in the general battling system, graphics/animated battles, and multiplayer options makes BW an amazing addition to the pokemon series.

It does, but I think what he means is that you can't just simply switch Jolteon into Tornadus to counter it and expect to live a specs Hurricane on said switch.

While I do agree that there's no criteria for what's a pokemon or not, I think what he's trying to say is that some of the newer pokemon look like a copy-and-paste of older pokemon or from other cartoon shows, or are abnormally simplistic.
