um... how does sandstorm up your special defense? I checked that over on the wiki, and found nothing to support that.

That's fair. Unlike Lincoln I think Nika is going to have quite a large team that she rotates. So it'd be a long time before she ever hits a high enough level pokemon that I halt it's growth. But 65-70 seems like a good stopping point - plausible to join (one of) The Elite Four, but not be a champ.

It's one I've imposed on her. Anyone who gets level 100s is auto-godmodding anyway.

I see... Yeah, her pokemon would be literally impossible to defeat without flat cheating. Anything over a 10 level difference with her is enough to make the battle, though her pokemon only reach 65-70, meaning that for all her hard work and determination, she never does quite become strong enough to equal a champion let alone become strongest trainer in the world. (Gary has 80-87s).

About the tie-in.

Valorie would not be prone to looking up to someone who got bullied a lot. Her asperations are to be respected, after all. If anything, Nika's tendency to not care would actually annoy her. Whoops. Owo

Valorie wouldn't intentionally bully anyone. Her large ego is a result of a deep seated desire to earn the respect of others, something that bullying .... honestly doesn't /get/. Hence, no motivation.

Valorie got Charmander less than a year ago. She basically spent about a week or two training hardcore and then tried to challenge Iccirus' Gym and got roflstomped. She almost immediately wound up joining the academy after that, because to be blunt she freaked right the heck out over losing.
