The thing about Yosenju, is it's a lot like Cloudians in a sense, pretty anti-meta, no big boss monsters, etc. So it's a lot like a deck I would've played, just not sure why so many people brought them. In regards to Qli, they're still pretty fresh, not sure why I expected lower numbers of them lol.
And I wasn't aware of any Gem-Knight support, got them mixed up with the ocg-exclusive Crystal Beast stuff for a sec. Oh yeah, Secrets of Eternity brought Lapis/Lazuli/whatever it's called lol, so that's TCG now.
But yeah it was a good experience. I think I've had quite enough of Cloudians for now, especially since I said I'd lay them down when Ritual Beasts were released. I'm the Cloudian person now though, so I might have to pull them out every now and then haha. And while it is true that you learn more each time, I think with Cloudians there's a certain limit, and as formats change, certain deck types are better choices to combat the meta.
And I believe that's it for the regionals in my state for this season, there were like two in October/November, and then one more yesterday. So to get an invite to nationals, it's not entirely impossible, especially when there's maybe like a hundred other regionals around the country during the year (if you want to travel, and apparently people traveled hours to get to this one). I just think it'd be really cool to play nats once. Now assuming I don't play meta, next year (since I'd like to go back) I'm going to have to get pretty good with Spirit Beasts or something else that comes along, or I could be a scrub and play Jackpot 7 hahaha, although that is one of the more salt-inducing decks I'd imagine.
