I think in the distant past Serebii allowed name changes. I don't understand why they took it away though. :/ Dragon user X isn't a bad name but it does kind of lack finesse I guess. I have to ask: what's the reason behind some names being blue (or purple... it's hard to tell with my color blindness D: ) and italicized here? Is it from donating or something?

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's actually any bigger than places like these but it usually ends up being so many new members padding the threads that no one ever gets to know each other beyond arguing over something stupid. I have one friend in the half year I've been there and I don't even know him. XD

Sounds interesting. I'll have to review it! Mine was actually about the player character experiencing change after becoming the new Champion, heh (the "cast aside" part being that he/she had left behind their enthusiasm for traveling/battling/whatever once things started to get serious). Craaazy.

"Misheard Whisper" has a little more of a ring to it. Why the name split between forums? I hate it when I log in to Serebii on my phone and have to type all the ['s and ]'s. -_-

It seemed pretty neat, but maybe I'm just used to Serebii's general coldness so the feeling of an actual community caught me off guard. I've heard they have a few random things like this relatively often. I hope it's true. :) Well hopefully you at least got a good idea out of it. Did you have any plans for the one-shot at all?

Thanks! I really just joined to enter a couple of the get-together things (on the last day, no less) but I'll try to post regularly and maybe put up a few of my one-shots. I still consider Serebii my "main" forum though. ;) Yeah, it does seem a little dead just looking it over.

That's one of the things about being an artist, I guess. But I'm glad to hear you're going through with c+c, I'm also looking forward to it. I'll have to keep an eye out there then- I've only signed on like once since I joined XD;

So how is your writing going? I just spent nearly four hours writing music, so I'm in no mood to write any chapters right now, haha. However, I am almost done with the first volume of my OT fic. Writing battles is fun, ain't it? haha

I'm hoping I'll be able to at least get far with this next project, though. This will be my first attempt at a fic that's not OT, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Oh, I didn't know that, haha. I don't think I'd have enough time during the day to do that though, lately I've been all up in here at night, haha.

A concept I was thinking is having some Pokemon around that are around in modern times, but much larger, different, and vicious in appearance and nature. But I'm gonna have to do some plannin' for this fic, pickin' out which Pokemon would be not vicious or vicious by nature. And that's just the beginning I have thought out for now though, I have to think of a way for him to get back (probably something with Celebi, meaning I'd have to put some mysticism in the fic), and maybe even him going to the past to the time he was supposed to go to fix the problem.

I imagine your head explodes with ideas too?

I don't see the point in it either, but I wouldn't doubt if anyone wound up with some great Pokemon as a result of it. Especially shiny Pokemon, that would be nice to get. But don't you need a mic for skype?

But I like listening to you ramble about your upcoming stories, lol. Anyways, the idea starts with Gold, champ of the Johto region. Something goes wrong in the past that drastically starts to alter the future, so Gold, the only qualified trainer, is chosen to go back in time to fix whatever is wrong via time machine. When Gold is getting sent back, something goes wrong with the machine, and it sends him back much further than he was supposed to go, to the Jurassic era. He has his Pokemon with him, but the Pokemon in that era are larger and wayy more ferocious, so even with his powerful Pokemon, he is at a disadvantage with no Pokemon centers. So he has to fight for survival and think on his feet.

Breaks are always good. I wish I had a DS and Skype so I could compete in that egg swap event, or the Skype. That sounds like it was fun. I probably would've entered the YGO tourney if I still played, haha XD

New Game was the first thing I thought about when I read the prompt. Anyways, the one shot I wrote for it was based on the first month of 2011 for me, but it was wayy too personal for me to send in, haha.

So you have 14 days off right? So I'm gonna take a guess at 14,000+ words? Are you gonna be writing non-stop?

Sorry to be barraging you with questions, but are you entering the GT writing competition? I was thinking about entering, I actually had a one shot done today, but I honestly don't think I'm gonna enter it because of what I based it on, though.

I'm on summer break right now, so I have most of this month to sit and write before school starts up again, lol. But knowing me, I'm not gonna end up getting as much done as I want to, summer partying haha xP

I get what you say by that. I'm still having some trouble wondering how some of the main events in my fic are going to turn out, but I'll cross those bridges when I get to them. And that statement is entirely true, it will make it seem all the more exciting to write and visualize. It will probably come out better, too.

And lets face it, the staff aren't gonna comb through your entire story and bust yo' ass for a few measly foul words, right? Anyways, I'm thinking about joining Bulbagardens Forums as well. How different are they compared to these forums?

While I do see how that would be a good idea, I do see how it too could be counterproductive. Like, what if something that occurs in the course of the story that's tied to the ending changes in some way, which would mean you'd have to go back and make some edits. Anyways, I have the main parts of the story and the ending battles planned out- like the main Team Rocket battles and the final League battle. I just can't wait to get to those parts of the story.

That's something I've always disliked about this community. I love everything else, but the foul language restrictions.. well, restrict you, lol. On my old account, I remember every now and then I would get mad and fly off the handle and figure out a way to bypass the censors XD

Well, hopefully you won't give up on either it or CG, even though it doesn't even seem like you plan to detour from the latter, haha. You know, I think we might have the same amount of determination to complete our fics- one of my main sources of inspiration is wanting to write epic Pokemon League battles. Do you ever have parts you just can't wait to write?

Anyways, that sounds like an interesting concept. And blood? I like reading bloody fics :D mature rated fics are actually sort of an inspiration for me all their own- mainly because I plan to slowly pile this influence on in my fic as the story progresses.

Hell yeah you bet I'd be interested! Broken had me drawn in the entire time, and so I certainly wouldn't mind reading another chapterfic from you. And that's actually an excellent idea that I've picked up on recently, writing a whole lot of chapters before releasing them. That's what I've been doing, and I'm about to start writing Chapter 10 to my fic, while I've only released up to 5.

No problem dude, I honestly have confidence that you'll be one of the people to surpass their own greatest lengths and be one of the great authors out there.
