Ahh yeah. I did buy a 3DS exclusively for Pokémon. I don't have any other games for it either. Visually the game has improved so incredibly much if you'd just think of where it came from. You can hardly imagine you're still playing the same game.

Yeah I didn't learn Pokémon in depth until XY either - even though I've been playing since Yellow. It wasn't until Super Training that I was actually able to EV train, for instance.
I like your mentality though - that's how it should be. Whatever you're doing, do it right. ^^

I agree! In my challenge I used Shido (Shiftry), Akira (Mighyena), Casimira (Absol) and Scylla (Sharpedo). However, to defeat the League, I caught Valruna (Mandibuzz) too.

I've actually played up to Winona's Gym with two Mightyena's and two Nuzleafs due to lack of variety in dark types.


So, what brought you back then? :) by developing a Pokémon you mean EV train? That's been a feature since long ago, it's just made easier in the 6th gen. ^^
