I guess that depends on the industry + country.
Full time jobs are mostly stable here in Hong Kong, unless I'm working as a construction worker, plumber, electrician (from private companies), etc.

Now that I have seemed to find myself an apartment, the only thing that matters is a more stable job (my current part time one is too erratic when it comes to schedule; can't make enough money to live and pay rents).

Yeah, work and now very personal problems too.
I'm hoping that I won't be forced to leave PC because of the aforementioned reasons...

Again, that might've been a side-effect of Z/X2Y2 being cancelled and GF being forced to use the Hoenn remakes to tie up Kalos. Gen 6, as a whole, was really a very badly handled generation, as if it was nothing more than a test run for the new graphics and mechanics.

At this point, that's pretty much the only hope for Kalos (and especially Zygarde). I'm actually a fan of the theory that GF actually was planning a Kalos third version or sequel, but scrapped it at the last minute in favor of Sun/Moon and Gen 7 because they didn't think that a new Kalos game would be new or exciting enough as the big 20th Anniversary release. That's why there are so many loose ends and plot holes in XY, as well as why there weren't any games released or even revealed in 2015. It could also explain why a Mega Evolution storyline was seemingly shoehorned into ORAS. With Z/X2Y2 now cancelled, they had to use the Hoenn remakes to tie up Gen 6.


Go play FRLG if you want to see the answer to that question. Even if you're a purist who considers JP!Blue to be the "real" third version of Gen 1, FRLG still didn't incorporate a single thing from that game, and as a result, come off as very barren, incomplete games compared to even Yellow, let alone GSC.

(In fact, FRLG were so unpolished that many back then actually took that as a signal for an impending Yellow remake, resulting in mass disappointment when it didn't happen. FRLG was really the first time GF left a game unfinished without any good follow-up, although XY was the first time this happened to a game that wasn't a remake.)

This site, in general, has become more active. Amazing what a new game reveal, however small, can do for this bunch. ;)


Well, the confirmed compatibility with RBY could be a possible hint towards a simpler, more streamlined stat system. The number of new Pokémon will probably also remain low as in XY.

As a 20th Anniversary "throwback" to RBY, we could also see a return to some of the story/lore conventions of those games. For example, the mascots would be starters again, and the plot would be more mundane/realistic (but hopefully still better written and more fleshed-out than RBY's plot) and not center around a Legendary or saving the world. We could also have a Champion who's our rival again, or at least, anybody who doesn't fit the mold of "friendly older mentor figure who appears out of nowhere to help you fight the Evil Team" that GF has been recycling since GSC (hopefully the poor reception of Diantha was a wake-up call).

Either way, though, I hope SM are far more "complete" than XY were. If third versions and even sequels have become a thing of the past, then the main pair can't be half-assed and left unfinished. Imagine how Gens 3 and 4 would've turned out had Emerald and Platinum never been made, and Hoenn and Sinnoh were stuck with the broken, incomplete RS and DP, instead. That's exactly what has happened to Kalos.

I tried solving the plot holes in my head, but I can't. Lol I can only think of a cheap method -- everything we experience in XY/ORAS are mere illusions. But hey, that doesn't work; that solution doesn't sound Pokemon and actually creates more continuity problem than to solve it.

Who wouldn't get mad for messing up? I mean it's not just a mess, that mess has actually affected the canon and timeline, so messy that Masuda couldn't even save it!

Personally I prefer a Gen 6.5, simply leaving Gen VI and moving to Gen 7 just feels wrong, tbh.

So far, I see people leaning on Gen 7, due to Gen VI being a lackluster generation.

What if SM ends as Gen 6.5 and not Gen 7 as the fan wants? :P Imagine the rage!!
