Hmm, true. I do find that RPGs in the beginning can be a grind and boring at times. However it has never been true with Pokemon (at least for me).

I see your point about Pokemon like Abra though. I once saw a ROM hack that used the 3 Hoenn Regis as starters. Except they only knew Explosion at level 5 :P

I think you made the starters way too powerful. Mine already has 4 moves and some moves I'd usually think you get like, halfway through the game.

Did you edit the movesets for all Pokemon?

Hmm, it's not necessarily a bad idea. I just feel there needs to be more explanation about the people you get your starter from.

The idea for the rest of the story seems fine to me though.

Heya, I've tried out just the beginning of the game. I haven't seen anything past getting my starter; but I do have some thoughts.

Yeah, it kind of ruined my expectations for the game and I stopped. I can't remember what it was called though.

It had the most offer in terms of main series GBA Pokemon games imo. As a kid I really liked that the Pokemon were animated when they were sent into battle. And now in Gen VI they move even after they were sent out, how we've advanced.

I've only ever played an RPG Maker game ever once (that was also Pokemon themed). The problem I had with it was a major glitch (to me at least). I saved in front of a gym leader like I would in case I lost. And every time I restarted the game it'd automatically make me talk to them for some reason or another. Which meant I was stuck in an infinite loop until I decided to just take the loss ;.;

I'm not too sure what goes into RPG Maker, but I once tried my hand at hacking Emerald many years ago. What came out of it was a very poorly made and juvenile script for the first few towns haha.

And yeah; trying to work with what is already set in stone and adding more can be quite complicated.

RPG Maker right? Those have more power and room for ideas than the ROM hacks do. Thiugh it can be crazy to see how far they can push things.

But you're right; I completely forgot. Guess it did make some sense since they were called "Galactic" and it revolved around Dialga and Palkia who control time and space.

Were the Team Galactic Officers not named after some of the planets? I might be wrong, but I think there was a Jupiter or something?

Greek mythology is just... popular in media I'd suppose. But hey, the Solar System's planets are named after the Roman versions, not the Greeks. (Possible idea? Not to go to overboard though; overambition does not mean a good game. But hey, I'm just being nosy now D:)

Sounds awesome. Is there a reason you chose Rome over Greece? I'm fairly certain that the Greek names of the Gods/Godesses are more well known.
