  • That's a shame. I was fortunate to have a professor who did exams a little differently. They were mostly essay exams, but with a twist in that we had to provide primary source material as evidence to support our argument. It was really great to memorize historical texts and actually argue about something in an exam (even if we only had a few hours to do it).
I can definitely agree to that. If only people could be convinced that history was more than just names, facts and dates. But then if the majority could be convinced of that, then the majority could also be convinced to stop the incessant fighting that has plagued history for too long. (And now is the part where I start rambling on about my idyllic world... XD)
Ancient history is definitely a great period to study. There's so many cultures, and conflict that can be studied. I can't say I know a whole lot about Greek theatre (I mostly study the history of war), but there's a lot of interesting stuff related to Greek theatre and it's connection to the ancient Greek religion (Orphism).
Right on, I'm a big fan on nearly every era of history; Ancient, Medieval, European, Asian, Post-Modern, World Wars, etc. If it's related to history, you can bet that I've got some kind of interest in it.
Ah, I getcha. Though that's the reason why I partly think I come across as boring to some people (because the majority of my friends think history is boring).
That's exactly it. Most people assume the whole thing was kids making up ******** or teenagers trying to screw with us. There were so many factors like the Raichu script that make it entirely obvious we had every right to think there may be something hidden in the games. Most people don't even realize that Mew was just a rumor for some time.

Mew is a spoon? I would totally eat a bowl of cereal with it!
I feel much the same way. It was an exciting time for everyone and almost no one expected sequels yet, so any new Pokemon seen were pretty much thought to be in the games we already had. Pikablu (Marill) is an interesting case. While a lot of people thought it was an evolution of Pikachu, quite a few rumors just assumed it was a stand-alone Pokemon that wasn't related to Pikachu at all. It had some of the most diverse qualities of any PokeGod. You just blew my mind.
Thanks. We really appreciate any comments on the site as it reminds us that people are still interested. Be sure to check back every once in awhile since we've been planning a major revamp with lots of new articles.

It is under the truck! We just didn't look hard enough. ;D
