Oddly enough, the function of Team Destiny is somewhat contrary to that example. We each carry a monotype team- however, challengers must defeat more than one member of Team Destiny in a row using the same team. Thus, if they build to defeat the first, they shall fall to the second.

The same can be said for each individual, standing before the next. There is always someone better and always someone worse. I highly doubt that giving it a chance will have any significantly negative effect on you.
