  • I've had no television in like three to four years. ^^"
But yes I watched him alot when I still were living with my parents.

And I think he does very solid job with his show, he's funny man and has great jokes AND he looks like our president : )
Well if our president has allmost identical hair with him, what can you say ;)

Yes he is. Pretty much everyone I know watches his show as often as they can and his show has been running in Finland as long as I can remember.
Oh America, when will you learn?
It's not really hard to judge the poems found here. That's just because "Come Clarity" asked for my help anyway. I studied poetry in school and I didn't really enjoy it.
Yeah, most people tend to think that Finland has penguins and polar bears running freely @ our backyards ^^"

...oops! One is loose, have to go and chase it off!

...j/k I think finland is pretty close to germany when it comes to temperatures.

And as I said -42 and -44 C temperatures were measured in very northern finland about ten to 20 years ago.
Last couple of years highest temperature I've heard has been -30 to - 37 C, so not as bad as that : )
    Same.
It plays quite a big part in a lot of people's lifes, I guess it's not so bad learning about it. It's just the way they teach it, as if they're trying to convert you or something. I think the most idiotic thing is how they only teach about Christianity.
It's hard for me to understand. I haven't, I'm not really that into poetry.
A grand piano??? (three question marks!) Do you play? I, sadly, have no musical instruments and no musical talent to speak of. I'd like a didgeridoo, though, just so I could have an excuse to say didgeridoo. As far as unusual things to have in your room go, I do have a knobkerrie (google that!) with a beautiful pattern woven in telephone wire around it.
I have read maybe 50 pages of Bleak House, which is one of the thicker ones.
Our parents are far from being perfect, but so's the world and maybe it's better to learn that from a young age.
It was spoon-fed in school. So I wasn't totally free from religion, but it's never something that reigned over any part of my life. My mum probably would've had me removed from the class anyway if she thought I started becoming ~too religious~
Not dramatic really, I was expecting a far more terrible description.
I bet you're the kind of person who would keep a bouzouki or a hurdy gurdy in your room just so you could tell people you had a bouzouki in your room. Oh, wait. That's me.
I know it's kind of hypocritical of me, being a vegetarian, but I really like old leather bound books. They have a nice texture, nice colors. I even like when some of them start to crumble a little. I bought the complete works of Charles Dickens (used of course) just because they looked good.
I think I've seen one of them that was good, otherwise they're exactly as you described. But we get real movie channels. Isn't that what you'd watch even if you did have a remote anyway?
My mum's nice, but not smart. She does her best and means well. I'd see my dad for one day every few months and just go to the cinema or something, so it's not surprising that we're not very close. Again, I'm sure he does the best he can. It was a long way to travel so it was difficult to see me often.
The "Lord" instills fear in children.
I can't imagine how that must feel, I havn't experienced the death of someone close to me.
I never even owned the Boxcar Children though I spend my money on books (shock!). They've got aesthetic and entertainment value at the same time. I'm cutting back though. One a month until I either have more money (not likely) or I get rid of other ones (even less likely). I think I'll look for the Hunger Games next.
I watch films occasionally if I see one that looks good on TV, there rarely is though. If one does grab my interest, it usually turns out to be awful anyway.
I don't talk to my mum. I don't talk to my dad about anything more personal than my opinion on the latest criminal that he's seen on the news.
Sorry, forgot you're landlocked. A thousand pardons. Yes. Yes. Yes. Like stained glass. You can't go wrong with that. An old church would be good too. Really, anything old. I'm a sucker for old buildings. Old things in general.
The place where I got the train car idea is the old Ninja Turtles movie. But this must never be mentioned to anyone and Oh My Goodness THAT HOUSE IS AWESOME.
Wow, only two episodes? It gets really good around episode 6 or so. Season two is freaking amazing, aside from a few episodes near the beginning of it.

Really, Eliza Dushku's characters are my least favorite, up until mid-season 2 when she finally gets tolerable.
It's because I don't pay attention to any of it, I don't watch TV or listen to the radio, so I'm spared.
At least it means you can appreciate films; whenever I see a film that's based on a book, I usually don't like it because it's always ~inferior~ to my own interpretation.
    .,.
I like that idea. It's a sort of a disco ball's sophisticated cousin. I was always partial to beach glass. I imagine I could make some kind of sheet out of it and place it over a window and get a rainbow effect when the sun hits it. I also like the idea of taking any old place (like not just houses, but other things like barns or abandoned subways) and making them magnificent places to live. I think an old timey train car would make a great house.
Taylor Swift, lol. Another person I didn't know about until I saw her mentioned on this forum.
I like putting the story into images in my head, so I usually read all of the boring, detailed descriptions. .,.
I think I'd find the cows less frightening than the church. Did you dislike your mum even at that age?
If she was actually listening to good music it wouldn't be so annoying.
If only I wasn't so lazy, then I'd probably record them. If I cba to do that, doubt I'll put it in novel form. .,.
You've never read a book without skimming. .~. ffff. I don't blame you though, there's often a lot of useless pages thrown in to books.
I'm not sure if you told me, I don't think so; but I don't remember ever being scared in a dream.
That's pretty amazing. I wonder how long it took to grow that much. Nook is a great word. It makes anything sound better. Sleeping nook, reading nook, tea nook. Maybe not bathroom nook. That doesn't sound so pleasant.
Oh, and I forgot the mention my fantasy cottage has a sandy path down to the beach flanked by blackberry bushes.
A little cottage by the sea would be perfect, an old one painted red or yellow where the wood is warped and faded by the salt and sand being whipped up by the wind, a sundeck out front and box seats in the kitchen or maybe a breakfast nook. ♥
Ivy makes everything nicer looking, doesn't it?
