Actually no, I'm not all that well versed in terminal commands. I do know a few, but not a lot. To be honest, for my customisation, my major tool is Candybar. I used a program called Superdocker to change the position on the bottom, though I remember having a different program when I was on Leopard. (I'm on snow leopard.) As for the Stacks, I'm not sure if that particular effect is possible with the version of stacks in leopard.
I used a couple tweaks from this page, though I think a few of them are for Snow Leopard only.

I will settle for nothing less than the castle from Beauty and the Beast. Okay, I just want the library. A nice old Victorian would be great for me. One with a tower kind of like this one. I'd paint the house in crazy colors because I could and it'd still be historically accurate. I could go for something modern like yours though.

There's not really freezing times here and highest temperatures measured were between -42 and -44 degrees Celcius some ten to twenty years ago.
I've seen only couple of REALLY cold days (under -25 degrees celcius) and summers can be really hot (ofc. not too hot for someone who lives in like Miami or other place which has some insane heat days) but something between +25-35 degrees celcius in summer :)

I've heard of a couple of online sites with cheaper books. Never tried them, though I did buy an art history book (hardcover with a slip case) off Amazon for about half the price of the one in the bookstore which was softcover and only Part 1 of 2 (mine had both). It took forever to get here and it was so heavy I couldn't bring it anywhere. Thing was like 2 inches thick. It could kill.

I hope you can sell them, too. If they won't take them talk to the teacher and find out if s/he will use them again and if so try to sell to another student. It's a crappy system, I know. I've wasted so much money on mediocre books that I only read a third or less of and couldn't get rid of. At least a good portion of them were novels so I have extra novels. You've got a big heavy psych book. Not the best thing for your coffee table.

Well, I'm a bit claustrophobic myself, but I was more talking about the can't-sit-still-and-hides-behind-a-pillow-during-scary-movies kind of scaredy cat.
I can tell you why books are so expensive. The teachers order the same books every year, not realizing that bookstores will order the newest edition by default (meaning no used books every time a new edition comes out, which can be ridiculous like every year) and textbook makers pad their books with glossy pictures on every page. >: is right.

I don't know if amusing is the word I'd use. Sad, maybe? Fear is an interesting subject, but one I don't get too interested in because I'm a big scaredy cat.
I can believe any price of book because I've worked in a college bookstore. Try $200+ for a biology textbook. The nursing classes' books came in a bundle and cost over $900. Before taxes. Dx

It's funny what kids associate. I was just reading about how kids who have grandparents who died recently can have trouble sleeping because their parents say "It's okay, she died in her sleep," trying to be comforting, but instead making the kids think they'll die too if they sleep.

Lambs, Jesus. Makes sense to me. I tried watching it when I was in junior high, but when the head in a jar bit came up I turned it off. Now it's one of my favorite watch-it-whenever-it-comes-on-TV movies. Anthony Hopkins is creepy and amazing.
