...and a dozen others all have nice eclectic movesets and fall short just enough to not be on the same competitive tier as their neighbors. They aren't jokes for the most part, and don't need anything other than a stat or ability to...
Tough call on that one, and I only barely chose Blue. Silver I think was the better character and I always thought he was cool, but Blue pulled enough surprises on me when I first played through that I couldn't help but include him. Suffered quite a few surprises with his random appearances that...
Always been a fan of poison types starting with the massive variety of them given right from the inception of the series. There is a poison type for every role. Koga had it right, you can completely destroy without brute force.
Them aside, Bug is my second favorite for their quick growth and...
I actually loved the Exp Share. I turned it off at first as I figured it was going to cut into the challenge of my game, but after a while decided that where it really shines isn't in overleveling my party, but making it incredibly viable to train 2-3 parties worth of characters over my journey...
My current team has seen a lot of rotation, and I am taking my good old time getting to the 7th gym so far. Running a bit of a theme at the moment as per my favorite villain thus far.
Nidoking - Peter
Nidorina - Catherine
Rhydon - Ourea
Kangaskhan - Ilkhan
Sneasel - Tuurngait
Phantump - Fladrif...
I easily enjoyed the N64 installment the most. It had balance, pace, and everything I wanted in the game. The variety of missions and ability to branch your path continuously was a blast and really added to the replay value. I keep checking for a new installment that could breathe the same kind...
I am personally hoping for it to be a moderately weaker dragon of sorts. One to crop up early into the game enough that I can enjoy its presence through my play through instead of just a sighting in the final areas.
Raikou. Never really liked Suicune's design and Entei seemed to have a bland moveset. Also, I really couldn't resist wanting to try out the new toy of raindance and thunder at the time.
Chespin looks pretty spiffy. I haven't liked a grass starter since Red/Blue, so I am kinda setting my hopes on him not turning into something lame. That, and I can't well go with Fennekin as my buddy has always wanted a fennec fox for a pet. Pretty sure he has that one claimed.
Nope, it was my excuse to be Ash. After that first run through yeah, he might have magically vanished the moment I got Jolteon or something else evolved, but he was the reason I got the game in the first place...
=== Gen 1 ===
My lineups of favorites back in the day:
+Blastoise - First starter, continued to use the same one for about 4 or so playthroughs and he got a little abusive.
+Raichu - The guide told me that Pikachu could be found in the Viridian Forest, and being a kid I decided that nothing...
Aeroblast almost sealed this for me back in the day, but being that I had Gold a newly caught Lugia would never know this wonderful move. Given that, Ho-oh got a bit more battle time from me. I quite like it more these days whereas Lugia I find somehow miss-able.
