That's the "NPC Palette"
The byte that determines which slot it loads into on the GBA is the "pal register"

It's set to 10 for you, so change that to 0 and it'll be in the 0 slot.

You have to set the palette slot it loads to as 0, not the palette itself.

Also, I was wondering, are we allowed to ask other team members about help for our own individual hacks if we have one? Or are we strictly only supposed to talk about SW/HF?

Hey there! I see you're looking for a scripter and I think I can sorta fill that role. Super simple stuff like signs and NPC's with a couple of lines of dialogue are super easy and I can pump those out super quick. More complicated stuff though (like actual scripts where you step on a tile or a level script) I still can do but with my current schedule I'd be a bit slower than the easier scripts. But if you've been fishing for a scripter and have had no bites so far, I can fill in as a temporary scripter until you get your bearings and can find a scripter that can devote more time to your hack. :)
