  • Because I only had a 2-2 of Ninetales.

I haven't really looked into Sablock, but I think I've seen it used as primarily techs/support in decks, not as its own. In fact, I do believe the T-Tar deck had it teched in.
Well, everyone I lost to threw in at least a pair of Crobat Gs and PokeTurns. And the T-Tar Prime deck went 2-3, as well. That's bot very good considering that the guy who ran it top cut at the first of the Spring BRs here. And, also, I didn't see a whole lot of the same decks I saw at the last BR, except Jumpluff.

I ran, since I only have one Charizard from Arceus, 2-2 HGSS Arcanine (because Ninetales and Typhlosion don't really have a lot of heavy hitting, while Arcanine does), and a 2-1-2 Nidoqueen to both counteract the Afterburner damage and to give me more backup heavy hitting. And then I had a 1-1 Claydol, and was trying out how well Collector will work.

This Gengar was the one: http://www.pokemon.com/us/trading-cards/database/diamond-pearl-series/dp7/18/
It was used in combo with Garchomp C Lv. X.

Shuppet-donk went 5-0 in Swiss this time, which was redonkulous (yes, I couldn't resist using it as a pun).

I'm tempted to go find some PokeTurns and toss in a couple Crobat G into my next deck.
I went 2-3 again at Battle Roads. (b'-')b I'm gonna skip out on the final two BRs here.

I ran Typhlosion Prime & Ninetales. Got Destroyed by T-Tar Prime in round one because I couldn't get the Pokes I needed out (and T-Tar Prime's a hard knockout at 160 HP; they finished 3-2). Then I went up against a deck centered around Tyrogue and what evolving things from it, and I almost decked myself before getting the win (dropped after the match). Then I went up against a Jumpluff that had 'Pluff turn three, and I lost stuff as fast as I could get it up (4-1, top cut, don't know how they fared after getting top cut). Then I went up against Politoed-Floatzel, which I beat because I got set up fast enough, for once, despite their type advantage, and the fact that I could discard the DCEs on their Politoed so they couldn't use Big Chorus consistently (went 0-5, so I guess Politoed isn't worthwhile in modified). Then I got completely destroyed by a Gengar deck (4-1, top cut, and I didn't stay to see who won).
Yup. And that was before the Raichu Lv. X and the Electrode were dropped in.

It was 3-3-4 Amphy and 1-4-4 Raichu.
Oh, and I used that AmphyChu deck I posted yesterday in the TCG deck section at BRs, sans the Raichu X and the Electrode. And a Pachirisu.
HGSS one might both be reverse holo. Not sure. I'm not near my cards. I might've even traded one off for something better for one of my decks.

I should start collecting Raichu cards. Except the impossible original Prerelease Raichu. Or Espeon cards. Or Alakazam cards. Or Jolteon. I think I just named most of my top 5 favorite Pokemon right there. (b'-')b
Probably one or two more. I do have to return some sleeves I borrowed from a judge, after all.
I wasn't aware that any anime cons did Pokemon tourneys.

Though my area does have 4 BRs at each of the 4 hobby shops that actually does Pokemon events. There's one more on the 5th, another on the 6th, and the last is the 13th. (b'-')b
    No... my grandmother came to visit on Saturday, and I ended up sleeping through the Sunday one because I was up until 4 AM. XD;
Yeah, well, most countries use English since that's the most common "common" language that the world has, and international releases follow shortly after the North American releases. (b'-')b
I stopped focusing on HGSS since I have so many of most of the rares. I'm buying as much of Rising Rivals and Supreme Victors as I feel necessary (about 1 pack a week at most), since those two are going to be off of store shelves in the near future, and also storing money for splitting an HGSS Unleashed booster box.

And, yes, I guess I do live pretty far out. It's a half-hour drive to the beltway around the Twin Cities, and that's with a recently completed (in 2008) two-lanes-each-way expressway helping shorten that time by about 5-10 minutes.
I'm going to drive... the buses don't come out this far, and I don't know how long I would end up being there.
Hour and a half drive for me this coming weekend if I want to go to a good hobby shop for it, since my main hobby shop did it this last one and I was busy.
All of my commons and uncommons are in long-boxes. (b'-')b I think I've got... 2 or 3 long-boxes, plus some shorter card boxes that I store my energy and decks in.
