One of your characters gets drunk, what did they drink? Going with Edward, he'd probably go for some sort of wine. Catherine and Zev would abstain from drinking for various reasons, though Zev would fall for the spiked punch trick.

As you can tell, late response is late. School, pretty much. The workload kinda kills.

Uh. Mpreg? What? Unless I'm behind on the terms, Twilight and its sequels did not have any mpreg in it.

Concerning the nicknaming thing, I don't see why not, quite honestly. If you compare it to our world, we often nickname people after animals. (Tiger, for instance). You using a pokémon name likely will seem jarring at first for the reader, but I'd expect they'd get used to it.

Genres I'd like to see more of? I, admittedly, wouldn't mind seeing a more Fantasy-ish side of pokémon every now and then. And by that I mean High Fantasy. A Western would be quite amusing. Might have to try that out sometime, as it's my goal to write at least one story in every genre.

Mm.. I tried to make it as "unconfusing" as possible by making the dream/reality thing a pattern. I hoped it was easy enough to tell, but perhaps not. The "In Her Dreams" parts after each asterisk single the stuff that never happened. Then I always start a new paragraph with 'but,' signalling...
