    Visual Boy Advanced Running in the Background?

    You can have VBA run when it's not an active window, but it doesn't play any sounds. To have it run in the background go to Options -> Emulator then uncheck Pause when inactive window.

    PC to start up a "kaillera" server?

    I do know that you can't use save files on Project64k. So if you're playing Pokemon Stadium, then using Pokemon from a Game Boy ROM is out of the question. That means rental Pokemon only :(
