I'll take the Brown Challenge in Emerald. I've been needing an excuse to restart my emerald game.

Just note that you are NOT allowed to evolve Shroomish. And when Slakoth evolves he/she can be the only one you can train until it evolves again into a brown Slaking.

As long as your other pokemon are. Is Linoone in the brown listing?
Cuz if not then you are not allowed to use him

No, Linoone is in the white category. You should have kept it as a Zigzagoon.

A day of progress that I can finally post without editing or double posting,
    White Challenge:
-Began the story as a female named Angel (Magic the Gathering, most of the angels are white creatures), Picked Mudkip, named HMSlave, slew the level 2 poochyena, lost to Brendan, decided the 1500 loss wasn't worth a restart, beat Brendan, got my pogeydex

-Went to Route 102 to capture my first 2 pogeys, Zigzagoon (to be Linoone) Female Bold and Ralts (To be Gardevoir) Female Rash, Cleared the noob start trainers up to roxanne's gym

-Disobeyed the rule of "must only train non-color-to-be-color-pokemon" in order to have a chance, training the Ralts with the lead-switch exp method. After getting Ralts to 6, I grinded Ralts to 13. Then defeating Roxanne with some Growl*Double Team abuse, afterwards captured a Slakoth (to be Vigoroth) who was Female Sassy. I had a contradiction here because both Slakoth and Zigzagoon aren't in the white group till evolution :P.

-Rescued Peeko from the ebil of Team Magma, was entrusted with the task of a letter and a package delivery...Had [sarcasm]LOADS[/sarcasm] of fun dealing with the annoyance of Truant grinding only it to level 18 through the various early training grounds.

-Defeated Brawly and minions with ease due to Ralts' confuzzlezion, proceeded to Slateport with Vigoroth, Zigzagoon (concentrating) and Ralts, defeated the beach and took my 6 Soda Pops, threw the Magma thugs out of the Aquatic museum.

-Proceeded Northward, through the trick house and the rival (who was EZ). Grinded to 25 on Route 117. Grabbed the Rock Smash HM and Gained another level for Kirlia to learn Psychic to fight Wattson. Had a pretty annoying battle with Wattson as he saved a Super Potion for Magneton, but with Calm Mind and Double Team for Kirlia it was overcome.

-Traveled moar north toward Mt.Chimney, then captured a female Zangoose before heading into Meteor Falls, following which I proceeded south to Rustboro then through the tunnel earning myself HM Strength, then back to Mt.Chimney to face Archie the ebil mastarmind.

-Went through the Jagged Pass to reach Fellarbor town, Flannery was easily crushed by 3 sword dances and quick attack assault from the new zangoose. I already had the national dex from trading with my Emerald... and not putting the national pogeys in the PC, so I thought I'd import a Seel Egg.

-After the hatching of the Seel Egg, I spent many hours catching it up (to 30 o.O). After those many hours of training, I faced Norman, who was piss easy imo, his 2nd slaking kept trying to use Focus Punch, allowing me to just use Slash with Vigoroth and cancel him out.
    Here's the team:
    Single color challenge for R/S/E.

Also, a level 5 tropius who has Fly, Strength, Rock Smash, and Flash
And a level 10 tentacool who has Cut, and will have Surf, Waterfall, and Dive

    Go ahead.
But I'd prefer if everyone started using Pokemon WITHIN the selected game. Makes it less challenging if you just hack your way through
