ok cool, so I just go to where a horde is for corresponding EV and do I just train 1 pokemon at a time? The bit I didn't get was where it has the tables and has pokerus + macho brace etc etc. I have dyscalculia so I'm very bad at maths, this sort of thing fries my brain. what are the power items too? I have some pokemon with pokerus but not really sure what to do with that neither. I will probably just play through ORAS and then worry about this stuff. if you can break down some of that stuff so I get it though, it would be appreciated.

Maybe I should just start EV training and concentrating and playing through ORAS as thats where it'll all be happening, haha.

Any tips for EV training? I don't even know where to start now. I'm sure I used to feed them stuff and that did it, just had to keep count. was expensive though.

hey man, I'll be up for having some practice battles soon, I just need to get my team sorted to a point. I don't need to be fully EV trained just for battle tactics though do I, I'm obviously gonna be losing a lot at first. That being said I do really need to look at getting my proper version of the team finalised. I have a shiny venusaur now but it doesn't know giga drain which is the probably as it's an egg move. I don't really care about having the team functional as shiny, I just want a shiny version of my first team for the trophy case. I'll be using my shiny bisharp and rotom w tho cos they look cool. I'm saving my shiny gengar for an ultras team as it looks best when mega evolved (I have a few shiny gengar actually but I think one is an event and probably doesn't have the most desirable IV spread as I got them all as a bulk deal 98 event pokemon and 54 legends in one sitting, probably the longest trade I've ever done.

should have my power saves tomorrow too so I'm gonna collect TSv's for shiny hatching.

Except for Talonflame - unless I missed a development, and my X game has one as my Flyer and breeding helper BTW - all are banned. I never used the two I did use for reasons that they were banned for, but even without that move or strategy, they are still overall banned. I find that interesting in itself.

I guess we'll see if this changes the Wonder Trade popularity of Froakie, who was - until OR/AS anyway - one of the most popular trades on there. Probably because everyone was breeding them out of their ears (I traded Froakie for Froakie once, too).

Yeah, I might have to ask him to do that while I rethink the arrangement of my team. I'd rather not have him sub if there are other matches you can have first. I know I had some spares on standby, so it's easy enough to swap someone in, but I'll have to re-figure the team flow. It feels like every good Dark type is being pulled and is making the Dark/Fairy Gym less viable over time; when a starter gets pulled, IMO it's a flat-out "I don't like it" scenario. Blaziken also got pulled and I used one in a tag battle where a Froslass attempted to Destiny Bond me out of the gate, but I just changed my attack to the other party member, who ended up not taking much damage and, with Froslass camping Destiny Bond, I finally attacked again on turn 5 to miss, then with my partner already defeated my entire team basically got teamed up on and butt-stomped. LOL

And they ban Blaziken. Peculiar.

So I just found out Greninja is now banned for a move I don't even have on my Greninja.

This means I have to completely replan my team now. Sunday might be out of the question now, but we will see.

That'll probably work. I've been tempted to just go Shiny hunting there for legendaries ATM (that's the eventual plan), but I also want to fnish one of the games and get the Delta Episode completed so that I can access the Battle Resort. That way I can start breeding in spades instead of hanging out on Route 117 (and I really want the IV checker).

I haven't made a proper base, either. At least I found out how to delete interlopers who might claim your base ahead of you. {XD}

(And I have someone in one of the Blissey bases there, too.)

I'm trying for Sunday. Just caught Kyogre in AS, so I'm now on the final Gym there and both games will be tied. My team, interestingly, is better in AS, so I might complete that first.

lol Krystia always mistypes people's names for some reason, I don't 'know if English isn't his first language - but that wouldn't make a difference for names would it? I've seen MageSeekr, Doak, Polor, and more. He's a good battler too, so I'm led to believe he's smart, but just like - doesn't like to use people's normal names hahah.

I agree. One requires both Bikes and therefore requires full game completion. Then there's the remade Safari Zone, which is VERY well done, but is equally annoying because you need one Bike for some areas, the other for others, and - in one case - BOTH for the one TM there. In AS, I'm not bothering visiting other than the quick visit to hunt for a Pikachu, where a Lv.40 one with Thunder Punch graced me with its presence (and was subsequently caught). I caught one before that, as well, so I use both in assisting to train my team up to higher levels during water training against Pelippers. I might return for a Girafarig.

I also read about the Blissey bit. If you have even a Lv.2 Exp Power O-Power, you can get something like 35,000+ HP battling just one Blissey in a Secret Base (at Lv.100). What makes it funny is that you don't even have to do anything for the first two on the team because they use Healing Wish, which is a suicide move that heals the incoming party member. You just have to KO the third, and by then, you better be at least Lv.50 from all the XP gained. {XD}

I'm still slowly worming my way through some research at Bulbapedia, and really want to finish OR before starting battles there. I might be done by Sunday (I have the National Dex already, BTW), and I might not. What I'd like to do is open the Battle Resort so I can then import the team and look up some Tutor moves in a couple of cases, though exactly which ones yet I don't know. I have yet to decide on whether I'll use something OR/AS exclusive on my team, but possibly will not to keep challenges open from both games without incident.

That all said, if I can't finish OR by Sunday because I'm just too caught up in my research, I still have X. The only catch is that my Friend List is rather stuffed. LOL I might be able to delete a couple who have never shown up for Safari Zone purposes, but I have to be careful with that as a couple are added from a channel on Twitch that I'm a moderator of. Though I think some of them were added for trades, so their Safaris are there. :)

(And my Safari Dex IS complete, BTW, so I only keep a wide variety for fresh catching purposes. I can always clone from the Safari Dex.)

There might be a possibility, but I want to ask: are you using OR/AS or X/Y?
