Mm, I suppose it doesn't bother me much. I have a rather extensive knowledge of British syntax and vocabulary- for an American- though I retain much American English, it being what I grew up with and how I communicate offline. (some phrases and words just don't sound right when you import them here from Britain!)

I may very well do that when I finish my catch-up routine.

That's kinda strange. Though they're not really losing any time, just changing names. It's like if you changed your username- you would lose nothing, but you are looked at in a different way, I suppose.
