Well, that's kind of a weird question honestly. To be honest, the two years before this one were riddled with confusion, and I basically just took general education classes. I'm currently part of a paid apprenticeship program, which is pretty sweet, and afterwards I aim to get my associates. I'm concerned that I won't be able to afford a bachelors, so I want to at least have SOMETHING, especially considering that the required courses I'm taking do not transfer to the local university towards computer science for some reason...
The job is actually pretty cool. But it's infuriating right now because some idiot on the other side of the company decided to hog up the system logs, and I'm trying to get to the bottom of it along with a coworker. The logs are nigh inaccessible right now due to the sheer number of logs it's taking in. Like, wtf. Also, my stuff randomly broke down with me making no changes. I was NOT happy this morning.
You should be careful! That sounds like a nasty fever dude.
I built it from the ground up. Pokemon is mainly menus and navigation. The menus were easy, but the navigation required a lot of sound design. Menus can be easily navigated with text-to-speech software and a keyboard. I built it in game maker because I suck it's almost a year now since I started, and I'm at around Cerulean city. I tested it around some blind people I happen to know personally (I'm actually kind of in a relationship with one right now lmao). Did you know there's actually a blind developer on Pokecommunity? He's not very active, but his name is "Pokemonmasteraaron" or something like that. He has only light perception, but is quite the talented programmer. Speaking of which, that guy I'm with, he's also very talented himself, although he needs to work on the readability of his code lmao
