That is it pretty much summed up, and I hate the pokedex in Fr/Lg

I would say just re-create a whole new game completely rather than going off a base ROM

I enjoy the games that completely go against all pokemon rule once in a while

Same for me, and I found floral sky to be kinda hard too, but I don't know if that was just me

ROM hacking, on the other hand, is perfectly legal. Nintendo couldn't care less about hacks...unless you're selling them. For perfect legality, your rom must come from your own game cartridge. But what if you make the ROM, and someone else sells it under your name?

I kind of like the idea of having a new twist to an old game.
