We... Have a form of Junior College, yes. Well, there're courses called PLCs (Post-Leaving-Cert) that, as you said, give the basics of what you may want to do in the future.

I've been to about every kind of show, and those worst is the indie/hipster scene, its cool cause their stoked on me but i hate them and their music. lol. punk shows can be sorta awkward at first but most people are really nice interesting people, its a very excepting scene, well go to diy punk shows no PUNX shows, street punk kids suck

Yeah, we're basically supposed to know in 6th year (ie, now) what college courses we'd like to take, and ultimately what career we're aiming for. Load of rot, I say. Maybe because I'm still unsure, lol, but I still think it's too soon to have to commit to something which shapes the rest of our life, this early in life. I know, nobody's stopping us from switching courses if it turns out we don't like the one we picked, but then that'd be time wasted, wouldn't it? I don't know. [/babble]

im a ~music connoisseur~, if you will. lol. umm im into the local diy punk and metal scene. mostly crust, black metal, sludge/doom/stoner and punk. Almost all rad music, my favorite bands are Dystopia, Entombed, Ramones :33333333, Doom, Discharge, Infest, His Hero is Gone/Tragedy and Skitsystem. stuff like that

Anyway, we don't have any other exams- you see, in Ireland, essentially there is 6 years in secondary school. The first three would be considered an Irish version of Middle School. At the end of the third year, you take a State exam called the Junior Certificate. (it's pointless, in all honesty, it.. It's pointless).
After third year, obviously comes 4th. However, this is called "Transition Year", and it's optional in alot of schools. You don't do alot of learning, it's mainly for getting stuff to put on your resume, which makes it somewhat useful. (but as I said, you can skip it). Anyway, then there's 5th, then 6th year. At the end of 6th year, you have to take the Leaving Certificate instead, another State exam. The results of this determine what college courses you get to pick from (but you would have applied for them beforehand). That's what I'm taking this year, which I guess is a bit different than Finals, would it be? (see, in 1st, 2nd and 5th year, I'd have winter/summer tests, which are more serious than ordinary class tests, but unlike the Leaving Cert they don't affect my college possibilities. I guess the winter/summer tests are the same as Finals for you guys? Does that sound remotely near correct-ness :D?)
How about you guys, do you have exams apart from finals? I once saw a movie that had SATs in it, are they an exam like the Leaving cert or something?? (sorry for my inquisitiveness D:)

naa, im not really into it. sometimes, I watched most of the stuff on adult swim when I was younger, folly colly or whatever was cool, i watched that one with the dude thats a dog demon and hes with that chick with black hair im not even gonna try to spell it lol. umm, ohh and hellsing but I watched all the episodes one night when I was 16 cause I was really drunk/bored and my friends sisters husband was a anime nerd. and manga is cool, i just never really got into it, i got a pokemon adventures book :33

yeah pretty much everybody i hangout with is over 21, its kind of strange it feels like i was 15 a couple of days ago. I dont really need a phone, i can just text people from yahoo a lot of people just have texting, which makes it really more of a fancy pager than a phone

I am graduating... I'm not sure. When they tell us what we're actually having instead of our dinner/dance, we'll know when. It may be after June, because that's when our final exams are, they may have our grad as an end-of-year thing, y'know?
I... Guess I don't hate the countryside. I like it in the winter, I suppose, and I love walking through woods and stuff, but I hate it when there's nothing to do and there's nowhere to go. At least in a city you could walk to a shopping centre or something. But meh, it's not that bad in the countryside, only sometimes it's a bit boring.

Ugh, where I live, there is nothing. The Countryside is so damn boring, one thing's for certain about my future- it's in a city. Definately, I would die if I had to spend the rest of my life in the countryside. Well, I'd die eventually anyways, but you know what I mean...:D
Ecstasy? Nah, still wouldn't happen (in my school, anyway, it could probably happen in other schools in Ireland, though!). Prom nights were probably pretty wild, so. But not really worth the money, I'll agree with you :).
