Hydreigon has a much higher base stat total. Shininess will not be important as everyone can attain it, just like how Red Gyarados is no longer cool.

I am working on a BFME II , ROTWK mod.
I quit DS rom hacking, only scripting for GBA now for Team Techno.
You can NEVER GET A SHINY MANAPHY unless by trade, since it is programmed not to be shiny on the recipient game, but if it is traded the chances are reset.

Yeah, they do make for some really nice trophies. I don't have that many right now, but I do have a spare masterball just in case one ever decides to pop up. Right now, my list is a Bibarrel, (best HM slave ever and caught in Diamond), Rapidash (gotten from a really nice person in a trade), and my favorite; a Krabby that was caught in Naranja, which now resides in Black thanks to a little bit of hacking. I used to have a Golbat and a Raticate on Crystal, but that was many years ago before I knew about their significance and some kid tricked me into deleting them by telling me they were extremely dangerous. They will both be missed. I also have the red Gyrados, but I'm not sure if that one counts because it's the one everybody has.

The chance of one appearing in Red and Blue is high if you know the glitch. The real hard part is determining which form appears, which is determined by your name. In all the other games including Black and White, there are equivalents, but you need an Action Replay to find those. I will admit though that it's been a really long time since I did any actual glitching. I can thank Black and White for doing that kind of distracting.

any more, yeah. I used to change every month or so, but now I've just gotten used to having an avatar and I feel that if I don't change it people start to get used to it and really see it as my icon. I haven't found many who use the similar style to this.
last year's avatar was ver similar to this but much darker, using black and purple as the main colors.

No, that's the thing. You need to hatch it on a game you DIDN'T receive it on Mystery Gift. It has to be on another game. Say you got the egg on Mystery Gift in Diamond. You trade it to Pearl and hatch it. If it's not shiny, SR and trade the egg back to Diamond. Completely delete Pearl and start a new game. Trade the egg to your new Pearl file. If it's not shiny, SR and trade the egg back to Diamond. Completely delete your Pearl file, ...

I would suggest waiting to get Phione until after you get shiny Manaphy. If you have 2 eggs, that halves the time.

I only had one Ranger, so I only have one egg. If it's not shiny, trade it back to a different game so you don't delete it when you completely reset the game you're SRing on. If you have two eggs, trade them both! I'd also suggest trading over a Pokemon with Flame Body or Magma Armor, since you don't have a bike yet to hatch the eggs.

For Manaphy, you need to pick it up, trade it to another game, save, and hatch it; if it's not shiny, SR, trade the egg back to the original game, completely delete the other game, and start over from the beginning. Once you pick a starter and catch 2 other Pokemon, you can trade the egg back and start hatching again. :)

Good luck! We can race for Manaphy. Just be really careful - don't do it too much, since it'll wear you down. I've only done 3, and it's recommended that you go really slowly.
