Oshawott is my first B/W starter, I chose it purely because I thought Samurott is awesome! Samurott has a nice movepool, I sweeped many gym leaders by using him alone! I used Snivy 'cuz I thought Serperior looks cool too, but my god it's an awful pokemon! worst movepool ever; way too limited! and it's not even strong, I had a really hard time finishing my game with it.
Emboar never caught my attention, to me Blazikne is the only firefighter poke that I approve of, Infernape and Emboar are horrible ripoffs and I hate their designs to bits! so even if Emboar is strong it's too slow and I generally hate it
