I think the most i've ever earned in a season was around 1,500,000 G.
It was obnoxious, but great! (I had a bunch of stuff that I wasn't using, so I just shipped 'em)

Only, it gets annoying when it's in the middle of winter, you don't have any medicine and your cow is sick, you just missed an event for the character you've been wooing, and there's nothing to do but roam around and spend countless hours in the mine trying to get some kind of income for the season... :I
