Yeah, so far. I liked how the first few chapters framed what I'm assuming is the heart of the story, and how there is plenty of space to revisit it later if that's how the story is going to end. The writing is good. It's a little bit "clever, poor orphan goes to magic school" - like Harry Potter and a few other stories I've read - but at least that's not the main focus so it's holding it back.
