  • Interesting, I have to be honest I have never come across someone who identifies as apatheist before. I never really expected to find such an interesting mix of people on PC.
Well, technically I'm agnostic, since I acknowledge the possibility my beliefs could be wrong (although I'm doubtful). But more accurately put, I just don't subscribe to mainstream religion. I believe in a higher power and even in "life after death" but I'm not going to live my life according to a "little" book that a couple of old monks wrote.

I think I called myself "agnostic-theist" in that old religion thread in D&D.
Exactly. The way you explain it makes perfect sense, but total forgiveness... it seems kind of odd - it's like they're using it as a selling point to convert people.
Fair enough. I never really got the logic of "if you say sorry for killing those three people it's okay" that some religions seem to have.
I have seen you around a lot (and you seem very interesting and opinionated), but I don't think we have ever actually spoken. So hello :)
I'm going to begin to learn to speak Japanese. I'm not sure if I'll have time right now to learn to write it also however. Though I want to open up job opportunities for the future in that side of the world, and Japan has a lot of companies I like over there. Thought you might find that interesting!
Actually the 'Torii'¹ can be found at both Buddhist Temples, and Shinto Shrines. They did indeed originate from Shinto architecture, but because Buddhism and Shinto beliefs were so closely intwined until the Shinbutsu Bunri², the structure of both shrines and temples became largely the same.
A good example of a Shinto Shrine could be the Sumiyoshi Taisha in Osaka, which is the oldest example of such architecture still remaining.
    Spoiler:
    Hm, I guess you're right.

    Yes. Yes I am. Hopelessly.

Okay, architecturally A Shinto Shrine vs A Buddist Temple. . .
    Which do you say wins?
    Cool beans.
I never really had any particularly good or bad days of the week. T: (I feel swindled!)

    So then!
    I see you too are a japanophile. . .
Managed to secure a position in the finance industry. Gonna roll with it and see what it's like but so far I'm enjoying it haha. October is still a way off but I wanted to remind you about those posters I wanted >_>
I totally would if there was a mugshot for the lady haha. But you did such an amazing job and deserve the thanks anyway! <3
