  • no real big plans for me yet, the only thing im really looking forward to now is graduating next year from college (hopefully).

what bout you, anything big you working towards now?
And not a short one by any means either!

Maybe, I suppose it would be better than dropping it completely. And hey, if you're out of ideas there's always other ones lying around I suppose if you want to poke them. Plus the next Pokemon analysis line was picked by the RNG gods again.
Well, the boss is weakened because of events in the game's story. Basic synopsis is that one of the main characters was cryogenically frozen for a millennium, only to awakening in a new "medieval" era. In the time she was asleep, the world had been restored to a purified state after wars and pollution left Earth barren and dying. The reason for it being an ecological experiment known as the Yggdrasil Project (which ties into series' history). Over the course of a thousand years, the giant trees planted as part of the experiment were meant to remove contaminants from the atmosphere and revitalize the world's surface. It did just that, but at a foreseen cost. The story goes on to describe all the events coinciding with predictions scientist made in "our time," and how there was only one way to stop an impending cataclysm (the release of a ravenous monster created from the congregated pollution). The solution doesn't exactly go over well once the other main characters find out that it entails the detonation of a thermonuclear device. The device is poised to go off, but doesn't do to complications from events in the game. Instead, the heroes find another solution, and that's what leads up to the final boss being weaker than it should be. I kind of enjoyed it because I have played games where the final boss isn't just stronger than the other bosses, but almost impossible to beat (Mega Man X, for instance, had a final boss with an erratic attack pattern that was impossible to predict or defend against).
That's what I mean. The original three-judge setup was perfect. That way it doesn't come down to a tie-breaker.

Well, in other news, did I tell you I beat Etrian Odyssey Untold finally? Ick, six months and I finally got down the last portions of the game. I was a little shocked because the final boss was relatively easy compared to the rest of the game, which I consider a good thing because I hate games that are already hard and have a nearly invincible final boss. I surprised too because the last part of the storyline took a major twist that I did (and sort of didn't) foresee when one of the characters helping you suddenly became an antagonist.
I can relate. Although idk if it was so much as a relief by the time I had finished my fic that was my first one... kinda hard to describe how it was to write 'The End', and then posting it as well. Was a good feeling at any rate, haha.

I see, that's unfortunate. I hope he's fine and will come back, place is becoming inactive again. =( Although some stuff is on its way for the forums I suppose.
Congrats on posting the last part of your fic! \o/

Question - do you know where Richard on the BBS has gone? Seems to have disappeared of late. =( I know you were working with him on an article, hence why I ask you.
Oh, BRETT MICHAELS!!! I forgot about him. He would be good.

Whoopi's got a real smart-aleck attitude that's hard to compete with. Trust me when I say that you'd be laughing your butt off at her commentaries after acts were finished.

On the topic of four judges... I still thing that makes things too lopsided (or maybe too balanced, whichever term applies better). There's too much of a likelihood that they'd end up in a stalemate every single time and, even though they have a "save an act" buzzer now, that's only a one-time deal and they don't really have the time to truly deliberate over who to keep and who to send off during tryouts.
Yeah, a lot of "celebrities" only make cameos in movies. They don't actually have an acting part. I mean, she's not say...Whoopi Goldberg... Whoopi actually had acting jobs in the early 1990s (Star Trek: The Next Generation, the Sister Act movies, and tons of other shows). She still makes cameos in some movies (The Muppets, in recent years). Now, Whoopi would've been a fun judge on AGT! (Sorry if that sounds random. I'm actually a fan of her earlier works and she's still got a lot of the attitude she had when she was younger, which is what makes her shows fun.)
That's why I probably haven't heard of her... For one, I don't keep up with fashion, and I sure as **** have never watched Project Runway. Also, whatever films she's starred in were more than likely chick-flicks (I'm a guy, so by default, they don't interest me).
Now that I think about it, who is Heidi anyways? I know Mel B was part of the Spice Girls or something, but I have no idea why Heidi's a celeb... >.> I mean, Howie Mandel was a comedian, entertainer, and host of Deal or No Deal and Howard Stern has his own radio talk show.
my bad man, havnt been on a lot recently and i didnt get a chance to answer you back till now.
anyway from what i can see you look like a pretty cool guy to talk to also
Oh, Howard Stern was perfect for AGT! He's such a smart-aleck irl that I would've been PO'd if they didn't cast him after Piers left. Still, Piers was hard to top. I mean, HE'S BRITISH! :P Howard was a good replacement, but the other two were...how do I say it in a way that won't get me banned...? Well, I never liked Mel B or what's her face... They messed up the judges' panel by adding an extra one... At least when there were three, they could be decisive, now it's just a load of bull... I know that there came times when the judges just couldn't decide between the three of them as to who would move on (like in the finals), but it prevented a stalemate. Four judges are just too much for my tastes...
Heh... AGT used to have a lot better talent pool, especially during tryouts. Up until a few years ago, the REALLY bad acts were few and far between. I mean, they've had a lot of crazy and goofy acts from the beginning, but it wasn't until Piers and (then) Sharon left that they really started coming out of the woodwork. I don't even watch the tryouts anymore because they've gotten so bad. I used to be able to laugh my butt off at them, but now I can't stand watching the tryouts anymore because the /bad/ acts have gotten so terrible that they aren't even funny anymore.
Good, then you know what I'm talking about. Shark Tank /used/ to be a lot better during the first two or three season, but now I feel as though it's kind of become a joke as far as whom they have come on the show to get investors. I liken it to America's Got Talent, which is still good but they 1.) shouldn't have added an extra judge/investor and 2.) should do a better job screening people before letting them in (I know AGT is just talent show, but I feel like they really dropped the ball when they Sharon and Piers go and then let almost any goddamn act that walks in audition instead of actually screening the signups beforehand... Don't get me wrong: people deserve a chance, but not when they're being deliberately stupid...).
Mmm, you have cable or satellite, right? If so, look up Undercover Boss on the program guide. You should find it...somewhere... Alternatively, there's Shark Tank Fridays on ABC. I'm only mentioning them because they're examples of what I'm talking about.
