I got to the second world, I think. I let my friend play it last year and she had the entire game complete in like a week and was max level and everything, so I guess since I heard about it all from her I kind of forgot to experience it myself, haha. I'm still hyped for Bravely Second, though
didn't your mother teach you never to talk to strangers? stranger danger

looking at this convo just made me realize how long I've had Bravely Default and I've yet to actually complete it . . . omg
I take it you already knew about the difficulty of DKC Returns then? If not, it's fine. It's a really rough game, but part of the reason I keep finding myself dying was because I was taking the extra time to find little stuff within levels. I'm shocked by how much stuff they put into it. It's just like how the originals were. So many good memories... XD
Alas, I haven't finished it. I /did/ get all the way up to chapter seven/eight before I pushed it off to the side and stopped writing. All the chapters were kind of long, though. I plan to get back to it someday, but I've been too busy for it in recent months.

Mmm, a lot of kids games use animal characters to begin with and they're still as popular as ever. I'm sure you've heard of Donkey Kong Country. I've spent so many hours on all of those games that it's not even funny. I'm still working on DKC Returns, which is easily the hardest game in the series. I actually just beat my second play-through and I'm trying to complete the Image Gallery and get a 100% clear on it (in truth, I've beaten everything BUT the final post-game level).
I enjoyed them all, but I felt like the Explorers series was actually a little less dark than the Rescue Team games. I mean, humans were basically extinct in the Rescue Team games, as opposed to just not present in Explorers. Also, for a long part of the game, the player character is afraid to reveal that he's human to anyone but his/her friend that he/she was originally human and, when it comes out, it results in him/her being exiled and pursued like a monster. There were a lot of parts where the character almost dies too. So, that was a pretty dire scenario, despite being a kids' game.

My main thing would be more of a case sort of like EO, wherein everything's built upon the ruins of modern civilization and human activities in the past suddenly come back at Pokémon in the future. Ideally, I don't think there should've even been a human-turned-Pokémon character, simply because the games are set in a world that exists after people or where humans never existed altogether (simply as myths, like in PMD-GtI). But then, I'm just rattling off a bunch of my own ideas at this point... That's actually the basis for my fanfic Biohazard.
I have to agree with you there. Well, to an extent. What I would like is a PMD game that's post-apocalyptic, kind of like the first two. But that may be a little too dark for kids.
Actually, it was a lot of fun, but the exploration parts were actually kind of restrictive. I think they could've done without the one mission cap on rescues.
Oh, god, I was so addicted to that game. I played it for almost three months straight after I got it and cleared virtually everything, except Destiny Tower. So close to a full completion of the game... I just couldn't pull it off...

I've been meaning to do a 100% complete of PMD: Gates to Infinity too, but I got lazy... I even sprung for the DLC a little at a time just so I had everything.
Oh, I've been fine. Since I put EO away, I've been trying to reacquaint myself with some older addictions, namely Super Mario Bros. 3 for 3DS Virtual Console and PMD: Explorers of Sky. I used to put tons of hours on the latter in particular. I was totally obsessed with the game a few years ago, and I'm feeling myself getting totally enthralled with it again.
Well, I've had my fill of EO4. The post-game Superbosses really hit hard, even when I switched to "easy" mode.

So, how have you been lately?
Eh, your sample's pretty open-ended. I'd say it would be better to start from scratch for the first post, even if setting it straight after the sample.
Well, I remember names rather easily, but hers especially because I think "Eden". Eden and Atlantis and stuff are kind of things I obsess about when it comes to writing, lol.
I hated it at first because Tiz gained more experience, and then my whole team was imbalanced by the time I got all four. I hated that. And, lol, the blonde girl? Edea doesn't get a proper name? xD
At first Tiz was my main guy, then I gave Ringabel an Angel Bow and he suddenly started sweeping everything. From then on he was my main, lol.
He's a super small one. :C But I love him, though.

Oh, there's a dancer class? I knew there was a performer, but oh my. That sounds so perfect. xD
I had Agnés main Black Magic in the demo, but now she's mostly a White Mage, with some Black Mage in there. My Tiz is a Monk with some Sword Magic, Edea a Knight with some Acrobatics, Agnés basically anything magical, mainly White Mage + either Time Mage or Black Mage, sometimes Red Mage, and Ringabel as a Thief with Hunting skills.

but it's just my luck that my dog kinda broke my game earlier, so now I have to see if I can get a new one, which means I'll have to restart D:
I just got to the giant boat town, so I'm not even at the fire crystal yet, lol. I grinded a bit earlier both because I wanted to get different jobs up and because the creature at the water crystal murdered me the first time I attacked it. Now I'm okay, so long as I have their main jobs selected. And for me, Ringabel is kind of carrying the team, sweeping everything with his bow while Agnés makes sure everyone stays healed. d:
