Our summer has been a game Russian Roulette, it's either scorching heat like 98 degrees or full of tropical storms. We've been getting torrents of rain that last for weeks sometimes. I think I will trade for your simply warm summer :)
Had a great time at the beach recently though.
As you know I came in well after the journey was underway, so it is new hearing about the origins of Mr. You and his brave sidekick Lilligant, and I absolutely love it! I'm going to have to go back and read this journey from the beginning like a juicy novel. I'm super excited about the dark Lilligants. I was wondering if you wrote fiction with so many colorful ideas up your sleeve?
I really liked seeing prof Oak's art talent too. I like his young character design a lot, and you see that similar auburn mahogany hair that Gary inherited, but with much kinder facial features.
I saw the 4th Pokemon movie with my mother and she liked it too a lot, but also felt that it presented a moderate plot hole for the same reason, Prof Oak did not appear to have recollection of such a history with Ash before the movie. But I thought it was okay like you said, you could explain it as Oak just choosing not to say anything.
Oak is a scientist, so he would probably be cautious about creating a time paradox. Ash does not realize that he has met Sam before when they have that fateful encounter, and revealing to Ash more information than he needed to know could potentially change the course of the future. You could argue though, subtly Prof Oak has been more invested in Ash than he would be with any other kid from Pallet, making sure that Ash had a starter Pokemon and could still continue his journey and placing really optimistic expectations on him, wagering Gary that Ash would succeed.
I really like both Eon dragons too. I honestly can't pick one. I usually end up with the game that Latios is in, which is fine, great attacking power. But I would like to try Latias too, the only time I used her was as a rental at the battle factory back in Emerald...or was it gen 4? In any case I loved her, and my battle style tends to be more defensive so she was a good fit. I think soaring was also a great mechanic.
I foolishly gave away my Sun game last year, and now I'm missing out on the year of legendaries this year. Being out of a shiny Zygarde hurt the most. My birthday is in September though, so that is when I will buy Ultra Sun, see the definitive Alola region and just squeak through the door with enough time to be part of the Latios/ Latias distribution. Then I will look on my HA ability starters. I think I have until Halloween to claim them, fortunately I do keep up my pokebank subscription.
My fists were literally clenched in fury at Annie and Oakley for all the trouble they had caused. It was a very brave and admirable decision by directors to have such an emotional ending. It also leaves me worried when a character is in trouble during future Pokemon movies, because death is a indeed possibility in the Pokemon universe, even though it is uncommon, it has happened more than once. I also liked the episode of Origins that dealt with the haunting of the Pokemon Tower at Lavender Town.
I'm wishing you luck on your shiny hunt for your green Latios!! Here! Here!! :D
Which generation do you prefer to shiny hunt in. As you know I'm just a beginniner with shinies, but I really liked gen 6 for its inclusion of the dexnav in oras. It brought even a clumsy novice like me some very nice Pokemon after not too long like shiny ponyta and vulpix.
A very nice well-rounded frlg team. Oh, I remember that struggle for Dratini in the Safari zone, low encounter rate, the best rods are needed, a pseudo legendary with a low catch rate and you have to use a safari ball to get it, which is essentially a pokeball. You have to catch it at full health, no battles to weaken it, you have a finite number of balls and it can run from you. I remember my battery dying once as a kid as soon as I had captured it :/
On Mega Kick I know its hilarious on Mewtwo, the things we do when we are kids. I had no comprehension of what the special stat even meant. My set was so bad, I believe I kept disable on him too...my excuse being that I was 9. Lol I got extremely lucky with catching Mewtwo since I had already used my masterball on Moltres. At least I did use it on a legendary, there are horror stories told of kids who used masterballs on regular pokemon or tried to capture opponent's pokemon. I had no masterball left for Mewtwo but Arceus was kind to me. I used Articuno to attack Mewtwo and Mewtwo got frozen solid on his first turn. My ultra ball was good enough at that point. Now that is what I cal beginner's luck, haha.
