Okay, I'll go and register as soon as I can. ^^
Most Nordic coutries do have similar languages: Swedish, Norwegian and Danish are all pretty similar and those people can understand each others languages pretty well. The language of Iceland also has the same base, but I guess it's still that different that the others can't understand it. Finnish, however, is entirely different. It's nothing like the other languages at all. The only language similar to Finnish is Estonian, but we still can't really understand their speech. But since Swedish is the second national language of Finland, we have to learn it in school so I can speak a little Swedish. Therefore I also understand some bits of Danish&others.
