    That's actually what it's suppost to do when you compile it. And you're suppost to make the script in Notepad.

  • I've stumbled upon a problem again. The moving codes for Gold are:
    Code:
    Moving scripts:

    00 = Turn head
    04 = ½ step
    08 = slow step
    0C = step
    10 = 1½ step
    14 = slow slide 1 step
    18 = slide 1 step
    1C = fast slide 1 step
    20 = Turn 1 step (Face opposite of HIRO)
    24 = Turn 1 step (Facing HIRO)
    28 = 1 step in waterfall mode (facing changes between down and right)
    2C = slow jump over 1 step
    30 = jump over 1 step
    34 = fast jump over 1 step
    3A = remove fixed facing
    3B = fix facing
    3D = hide person
    45 = make move before command faster
    46 = Wait for time (xx as time)
    47 = End of moving script
    49 = hide person
    4C = Teleport from
    4D = Teleport to
    4E = Fall from above screen
    4F = 5 whole turns
    55 = Shake screen (xx as displacement)

    I want to know what direction is left, right, down and up. Tauwasser didn't explain it good...If you can, show me how to make him go up 1, left 3 and up 1.
    All "OC".

    Thank you so much..:)

    Poke-roy, there is a tutorial on how to get the offsets. No one should be asking this...Unless you don't feel like finding them...

    Well you can use a hex editor to add more trainers in using alot of pointers etc.

    i dont want to add more trainers im just making a harder version of FireRed where all the gym leaders have 6 pokemon and they are stronger and the other trainers you battle also have more pokemon and are stronger, and Johto and Hoenn pokemon can be caught in it apart from that it's still going to be the same as FR

    Sorry, I was meant to say you can add in more Pokemon using a hex editor, you might just need to repoint where the data is reading from.

    i really dont want to use a hex editor unless i have no other choice, i was hoping there would be a program like Advance Starter that i could use.

    Hey there everyone! It has been a while.

    I have asked a question here, but it has been over a month now, and no one answered my question yet...

    Code:
    boxset 0 ---> find object
    boxset 1 ---> obtained object
    boxset 2 ---> received pokemon
    boxset 5 ---> yes/no
    boxset 6 ---> textbox

    My question is.., when making a give pokemon script.., should I use 'boxset 2'..? Thanks~

    Why?

    No, really, why? Hex editing gives you so much control over your hack there's really no reason not to get proficient at it.
    I want to know what direction is left, right, down and up. Tauwasser didn't explain it good...If you can, show me how to make him go up 1, left 3 and up 1.
    All "OC".
    Always in order: down, up, left, right; always 4 per action

    This rule ends from code 0x45 on. Items with variables in parentheses, (xx), have a variable after them.

    Moving scripts:

    00 = Turn head
    04 = ½ step
    08 = slow step
    0C = step
    ...

    If you want to make a script but don't know how, think of a time when it happened in the game, and find the script for that occurrence to see how it's done. Example: When the player first enters Elm's lab, the player takes nine steps up and faces Elm. Chances are if you look at the scripts for Elm's lab you'll find something like this:
    0D 0D 0D 0D 0D 0D 0D 0D 0D 03 47

    Well it doesn't really matter, though you could try it on an old backup to see if it works any better, otherwise keep to the boxset 6.

    I have a question,
    in AdvanceMap, you know how theres those town name boxes that appear, does anyone have a list of what they are so I can change them in AdvanceMap?
