I heal Yuki up, although I'm a dummy for not having any Elixirs or Ethers. Stupid kid.
I come into Drake's room. He starts spouting off about his girlfriend and his dragons and how close he is with them. Personally, I'd prefer not to see his training sessions.
Not as easy as I'd suspect, but certainly no challenges or true scares. Altaria and Salamence are the two big annoyances, but still not even what I'd hope for in an epic final battle. I use some Full Restores because of Dragonbreath and a lucky Flamethrower, but still, nothing really horrid. I'm still not feeling very challenged.
Drake cries and begs on the phone to Steven to pound me to pulp. We'll see if Stone delivers the goods.
So I get up to Steven, and he praises my work and dedication to Pokemon training. Then, he smiles and tells me that this will be the ultimate test of my prowess. If I can beat him, he claims, I can take over the world. Cool! :3
He starts off easy; his Skarmory goes down without so much as a move thanks to a critical hit Shock Wave. Then Armaldo comes and tries to use Ancientpower to stop me. He gets two off and takes me in the red. I heal as he does, but I still have the advantage due to my speed and accuracy. Not to mention Pressure takes away PP from him. <3 that ability, especially against moves that low in PP.
So finally Armaldo goes down with a little patience, and Claydol comes out. Two bite attacks take care of it, and I'm halfway done. Is this battle really going to be this easy?
I'm still green despite an earthquake rocking me from Claydol, but when Cradily shows up, I run around and laugh like crazy. Three Aerial Aces take him down (Giga Drain annoys me), so it all looks pretty past simple.
I'm in the yellow when Aggron shows up. I take a quick second to throw Yuki a Full Restore, and Aggron misses a Thunder. Good. I slam some Shock Waves down his gullet (three to be precise), and despite some Dragon Claws, his Solarbeam charge ends him. <3 when the CPU goes overconfident.
So finally, it's just Metagross in my way. I'm mid-yellow, so again Yuki gets the Restore treatment.
And the first Meteor Mash is a critical hit. I pray and it stops at less than 5 HP, so immediate restore is needed. Another mash takes me just in the green, so I slam a Shock Wave at him. A bite leads to another red-inducing Mash. He heals up as I do, leaving us at square one, except he's out 6 PP on the Mash. Just as I planned. Only two more mashes to survive, and luck is with me. His first one hits after a wave takes him to 60% or so. A quick heal leads to a Hyper Beam, which slices me to the red. A Shock Wave rattles him again to about 25%, enough where one more takes him out.
There, I'm done with you Steven. I just owned your entire league with only Yuki by my side. You gave me a good run, Steven, but I'm the champ now. Hand over the world.
So after I beat him, another monologue from the ex-champ leads into May coming to try and give me tips on beating Steven. I tell her off and she backs away, then when Steven takes me to the room, the woman follows. Then she cries about not being allowed in.
I put Yuki's Poke Ball in the machine, and the theatrics play where he's inducted into the Hall of Fame. Then I'm put in because I'm the trainer. I hug Yuki and he licks my cheek, and then the year-long credits roll.
Suddenly, I fall asleep and I wake up in my bed at Littleroot. Yuki paws at my hand, begging for breakfast. I check his stats quick, and feed him. Mom yells at me and leaves a ticket under my door, with a note telling me she's so proud I won. Gee thanks Mom; where's my money?
Final score:
