To prove that I'm Ruki and not a druggy.
"Eevee: How I found Bill"
Everything began with a thump and a shatter, a harsh welcoming into this world that I'm only beginning to understand. The little Eevee's mother was a Flareon, and he had been dropped (and unintentionally hatched) in the cold, overcast twilight on a late autumn day.
My mother, who I barely got to know, had been chased by her trainer. He had been trying to use her in a rough battle, against a Quagsire. Her sixth sense knew that her type disadvantage would be reinforced by a deluge of rain. After knocking the dumb creature over with a swipe of her back leg, she scrambled up a tree and hung out in a branch. There she laid my egg, which broke into pieces without any of the warmth and stimulation an egg normally gets.
I emerged, coughing, wet and sputtering as I did so. Having no knowledge of my own, I acted purely on instinct; and my instinct failed me, for I found no mother to cozy up to. Immediately I flopped down on my back and wailed and mother jumped right out of the tree, landing just next to me. But hearing her trainer's angry call sound louder and louder, she had no time to coddle me. As she burst into the brush, I was immediately covered in a multitude of scrapes, each of which took a toll on my delicate little life. I didn't know when my mother reached the clearing; injured and with instincts unsatisfied, I had presumably blacked out. The darkness faded away as she groomed my wet fur. I still clung fiercely on to the reins of life, and soon I came to, bobbing my little head.
"YOU STUPID THING! Get back here! It's impolite for a trainer to forfeit!" the trainer's flushed face appeared suddenly from the bushes and mother sprang, flares all around her body rising with maternal instinct. She began with flamethrower, which scorched the trainer's clothes and surprised him. And at the same time, she had broken the ultimate Pok?mon's oath: never to attack its trainer. He was knocked to the floor, but began to roll strangely, as if trying to escape from some imaginary Pok?ball. After a series of little grunts and wheezes, he came unsteadily to his feet again and grabbed my mother around the neck, but she turned up her flares again and his hands had instantaneously been burned. As the battle wore on, the bravest creature I know had begun to revert to her most basic Eevee attacks, biting and scratching and kicking up sand.
A resonating boom suddenly sounded across the sky. At first, I was the only one who noticed the rain. Lying unsheltered in the grass, the strange cold spines seemed to melt away my thin fur. Everything flashed for a moment. When I looked again, mother was lying in the grass, steam billowing from her body.

Yes, I know the plot hardly has any Pok?mon elements, but I haven't played in about a year. And I know it's too detailed to be told from the point of view of the main character. I'll explain that later.
